the one off the screen early in the shot clock was wide open. What're you watching?
Seems like we kind of went away from what was working the first five or so minutes. We need to make some three’s. Still like their competitiveness so far, let’s go Pitt!
kid just went for 32 and gets this shade from guys who never played above 7th grade hoops lmao.
Right. Cause one game makes him a dead eye shooter.
One wouldn’t have even needed to make it to seventh grade, never mind the hoop team, to understand shooting isn’t XJ’s strength.
we have 3-4 scorers. If he's open vs. UVA, he should shoot every time.
I really pull for Brown but we can’t afford him to see the floor in the second half.
Once again a guy with 0 points in his last 4 games pops two 3's on us in a minutes time. We left him wide open on the first one, then he makes a ridiculous step back. Things like this are why we don't win these games. Some of it is luck and some poor decisions on defense.
All in all a pretty good first half. This team desperately needs another big. Coulibaly is the only big that has a pulse.

I’m not saying he should never shoot. But Ashton Gibbs he’s not. If during the course of the game he gets hot then sure. Otherwise not so much.
I’m no shooting coach but when I watch X launch it, it looks so mechanically wrong to me. Either that or maybe it’s just ugly???
Need something from Toney in the 2nd half.
This has been some really, really, really bad officiating.
I would say limit his minutes to zero in the 2nd half. Playing him quickly resulted in our lead being gone. Just go small. There big doesn't really like to play inside anyway. He likes to stand at the top of the key and shoot 3's.
I didn't say he's Ashton Gibbs. I said if he's open. I'm not advocating we run off ball screens for X to launch. I'm saying if he's getting clean looks, he should shoot the ball.
I did not see much to complain about except the late missed travel.

I liked the officiating.
It’s both. And awkward looking. Probably one of the ugliest shots ever at Pitt from head to toe.
Why? A couple missed traveling calls on UVA. Champ got away with a travel and the foul on Femi was questionable. It looks a fairly officiated game so far.
Why? Because someone has to say it every game. Football and basketball.

Toney played pretty well on defense but was poor on the offensive end, need more on offense from him.
