Great game, but....

Hey Pitt Nation, a Hawkeye here-
Congratulations to you and your team for a great game. Hard fought and clean and the 57 yard field goal was spectacular, but the best part of the game, to me, happened before the game.
Brett Greenwood was a four year starter, all B1g safety, permanent captain for the Hawkeye football team, tried out for "our" Steelers FB team. He made the final cut. Shortly after he was cut by the Steelers he was working out on his Highschool football field waiting for another possible call when he collapsed. He suffered brain damage that had the doctors saying he would never walk or talk again.
Last night he was "honorary captain" for the Pitt game. He lead the team onto the field and then went to the center of the field for the coin toss. The really special part of all of this, to me, is that all four of your captains went to him and shook his hand before the toss.
That is what college sports is all about and that is why, even though Pitt lost on what could be considered a "fluke" play, you should be proud of your team and that is what will make me a Pitt fan for a long time to come.
Again, congratulations on a great game. I think that you are in for a fun ride for in years to come.
Sorry this got so long.
