imo all do a great job calling games for their alma maters in a pretty unbiased fashion. Always found this amazing. Personally, I could never call a Pitt game as I am quite sure I would morph into Matt Millen homer douchery...

Except when Greise said that the FSU DE jumped offsides causing the Mich QB to rush his throw which resulted in the interception at the end of the game. The head of referees or who ever it was quickly corrected Greise that it wasn't an offsides penalty. That was a bad comment by Greise.

I also thought it was offsides. ..seemed like a fair opinion to me. They get these refs from ShadyTree Referee retirement home to tells us we did not see what we just saw. "Gee, looks like he may have crossed the line of scrimmage before the snap, let'ts go to Bob the old ref dude to tell us we did not see what we just saw in slow motion"... kind of overblown though in that it was 4th and 10 with 25 seconds left in the game

Actually I really liked Millen until recently when he morphed into Franco

After all he famously ripped into the ceremonial pompous bullshite surrounding the State College Football program.....
And in the same article responded to Grandpa Munster saying to him he can't play linebacker after drafted by the Raiders by telling Grandpa :

So , you can't coach either.

But forget it now if he does a State game.

Millen is the worst by far as homerism goes. He's tough to listen to. I have always liked listening to Blackledge call games he is as knowledgeable as anyone out there. I still miss Ron Franklin and Mike Gottried on the big Saturday night games and of course Keith Jackson but the three you mentioned are all pretty solid.

After listening to Greise say some absurd things during our game against Clemson, he definitely moved out of the category of being one of the best color guys for me. And it was true that after they showed in slo-mo that the FSU player did not go offsides he still kept throwing out sarcastic comments about it.

I completely agree. Even after the replay official gave his opinion he was still whining about it

-Herbstreit is garbage. All season long he was pumping Ohio State and Michigan. Him and that other idiot Desmond Howard who has no business being on TV. Michigan loses 3 of its last 4 games, Ohio State loses 31-0 to Clemson, the entire Big Ten fell on its face in the bowl season again, and these 2 clowns are silent.

-This was 2006 all over again in rewind. The Big Ten got smashed in the real games.

Nessler, Herbsteit and Lundquist (1) were voted the top 3 announcers.

Just Herbstreit does a really bad job at announcing big 10 games is all.
