As an aside....the people who go out of their way to tell the board they are the second coming of Mike Brady and the people on the other end of the spectrum that act like Frank Gallagher amuses me to no end.........

and Mr. 9 to 5-er is getting ready for his once a year trip to Heinz field for homecoming! What fortunate scheduling that there is no soccer, or did you have a change of heart?
No there is no soccer this weekend, that's why I purposely chose this weekend, I didn't want to miss the important stuff. And yeah, I love 9-5, I'd hate to feel guilty or be driven to work any more than that- I purposely picked my career so that I'd never work weekends or into the evenings unless it was my choice-to me, that freedom was worth more than any money. Last year I went to Heinz Field twice!

Actually my wife picked it up like you did.
She was the first female youth football/middle school/freshman team football announcer in the 90's in our area.
She used the spotter information for lots of things but always checked the sticks herself for down and distance before she announced it,
So the PITT announcer announced 3rd and 3 I said that's good and she said no honey its really 3rd and 7 always check the sticks.
Yup it was 3rd and 7.

ROD RUTHERFORD??? Dude played in late 90's.. LOL, dude, time to let it go man, that's almost 2 decades ago. Did pitt message boards even exist back then?
RR played @ Pitt until 2003.
I did see him play in the American Indoor Football Association, with the Erie Storm in 2010 though.
From a Pitt fan's perspective the games the last three weeks while close, were't as much entertaining as infuriating. Games like the last three don't help attendance. Getting a root canal would have been more fun than watching Pitt's pass defense during these games.
I'll have to DVR this weeks game to take my daughter to an algebra tutor. Gotta set priorities. I might have to skip the Steelers altogether Sunday, if her travel soccer team has practice, I'll have to take her.
I hate noon games anyways, Where I live I won't hear the score all day, so I can have a BBQ in the afternoon and watch the game with a few beers at 6pm not knowing what happened.
But I did go to the game last week, had a great time! Good 3 hour tailgate, the game was really good, and loved the throwback unis.
Back to work, 9-5 is great!
