They have been advocating the Steelers “trade” Tomlin to another team since the 2023 season. I have read so much anti Tomlin bs the last month it’s ridiculous
Remember again......most of those guys who were let walk Dan Rooney was in charge. Art II seems to operate their offices with a Friends and Family slant.
They openly criticized Marvin Lewis for similar results.
So. As noted - followed by 12 years of sub playoff seasons

See there you go with the lame attempt at mis-direction. The original post was regarding ZERO playoff wins in 7( and soon to be 8) seasons. Not "sub playoff seasons" because the Steeler had playoff wins in 79, 84, 89, 94, 95.
And again, in those years, there were only 4 playoff slots, 2 rds plus the SB. So you had less chance to stack playoff wins than you do now.
I cannot imagine a coach with Tomlin's tenure being willing to work in a situation where he had to keep aging talent against his will.
Glad you pointed out the Blake Bortles disappointment. The Steelers are a bad joke in the playoffs. In their last 3 playoff appearances they have been beaten before they started. This is why I say they can't be taken seriously. Last year against Buffalo they got down 21-0. Against KC in 2022 they trailed 35-7. Against Cleveland in 2021 they trailed 28-0. Those are the 3 games this decade. They were not even remotely competitive in any of them. This dude can't be serious comparing Tomlin to Harbaugh, even when Harbaugh loses his team is competitive. The Steelers have proven they are not legitimate in competing for anything. This Saturday will be Harbaugh vs. Tomlin. It's a good bet that Baltimore gets out to a big lead again and cruises to victory. We've actually won 8 of the last 10 against them, but, I can't wait to see how Tomlin does when it matters!!

I’m not overjoyed with Tomlin’s approach and results over the last few years although I admit to not being anywhere near as critical of him as many on here.

In other words, they were effectively eliminated the moment the game began. They're frauds.
Your assuming there is pressure on Tomlin. Anyone in the media can complain but it will pretty much evaporate after Tomlin has another hissy fit and walks away from the podium Saturday night. The postseason presser will be about making changes and the annual scapegoating of a player or coach. Draft comes and everyone is jacked up on the latest first rounder that doesn't address an immediate need or was just a flat out reach. Wash, rinse, repeat. Five years from now we'll still be having this conversation.

Tebow threw for 316 yards against us on 10 completions. Do you know how broken a defense has to be for that to happen?
Jacksonville, after beating us at home in the regular season, came in with a worse QB than Mitch Trubisky and dropped 45 en route to doing it again.
Yes, Ben was awful in the Cleveland game. But that team was on a downward spiral and already cooked.
Also, are we taking credit away from Tomlin for winning a Super Bowl when Ben led one of the best drives in NFL history? Same with the big comeback against Baltimore that led to getting to a second Super Bowl, including that dime he dropped to Antonio Brown. Let me guess: that was all Tomlin.

Yes, winning in the playoffs is better than not winning in the playoffs. Tomlin's entire philosophy right now won't cut it to make a deep run in the playoffs anymore. He coaches scared.
“For us, it’s about playing to a personality that we prescribe to engineer victory, to possess the ball,” Tomlin said. “And a component of possessing the ball is not only time, but managing risk. And obviously, there’s less risk with running the football than throwing it, and sometimes that’s a component of this discussion as well.”
He basically just told us he'd rather lean on a running game that is not working than throw the ball to reduce the risk of turnovers. Good enough to squeak into the playoffs, not good enough to win in the playoffs.
