Is Stallings lying?

PittFanSteve is the only one who was there to witness the exchange between Stallings and the fan. Stallings claimed the heckler was saying things about a player. PFS says the taunt was directed at Stallings directly. Anyone else think Stallings lied about who the target of the taunt was to save face?

I mean Stallings is getting credit by a lot of people for acting like a child, masking the fact that we got blown out on the road again. His prior history of losing his temper is concerning from a mental health perspective as well.

The contract Barnes gave him was so bad, he stays for at least another year after this disaster. But, the optics surrounding Pitt are so bad right now, I wonder how long it would take to get back to the bad Dixon years, which is desirable at this point.

That guy said he hated the Stallings hire and stopped supporting Pitt so why should we believe his account?. Plus, the guy had people holding giant cutouts of his own face. I’d personally like to hear someone else corroborate his story before believing it.

Technically, they could both be correct and wrong at the same time.

What you hear and what was said can be two different things based on many outlying factors (noise, attentiveness, frame of mind, distance, etc). They could both be relaying what they thought they heard, which may or may not be what was actually said.

We probably wont know what was really said and what at least Stallings thought he heard. But its over, time to move on. Support the team.
