Phil Jurkovec said today that he's 245 pounds - up from 230, which is where he was when he arrived at Pitt in January.
I really think Jurkovec is the biggest starting quarterback Pitt has had in my time covering the team. It's up to everyone to decide how much that means to him, but the guys we've seen before - Slovis, Pickett, DiNuccis, Browne (tall but slim), Peterman, Voytik, Sunseri, Stull, Bostick, Palko - nobody had size like Jurkovec does. Even Rod Rutherford wasn't as tall as Jurkovec.
