The top 12.9-2 Georgia and 9-2 Tennessee are higher than 10-1 SMU and 10-1 Indiana.
8-3 Alabama, 8-3 Ole Miss, and 8-3 South Carolina are higher than 9-2 Arizona State, 9-2 Iowa State, and 9-2 BYU.
So what exactly is so obvious about it?

Just so we're on the same page, there are no 3-loss teams in the top 12. You can take the 1 and 2 loss teams in the 5-12 in any order you choose. It doesn't matter.Just so we are all on the same page, the top 12 that has 9-2 Georgia and 9-2 Tennessee ranked higher than 10-1 SMU and 10-1 Indiana, right?

Besides that, anyone who thought I was 100% is a fool. There is some subjectivity like with a team like Army (or the B12), but it obvious that overall record remains more important tha a "better-team" assessment. A 2-loss ACC team will be ahead of a 3-loss SEC every time.

It wasn't a 12-team playoff.Just out of curiosity, did you pay any attention at all to what the committee did just last year?
