-- what a blessing in disguise it was for Pitt to have the game on Tuesday in Dayton. We got a tournament game under our belt; we weren't suffering any hangover from not playing; and we got a favorable #6 to play (IA State rather than Creighton, UK, or TCU)
-- 119-100 (points for/against in two tournament games); hell, we gave up 96 to Dook in one game a week ago! Two straight well-played defensive games!
-- 2-19, twice. That's how ISU started both halves shooting. Both halves. I'm sure the Cyclones wish they had Blake Hinson on their team yesterday
-- 10 assists on 14 made FG (Pitt), which I know sounds like a halftime stat, but it also shows that the ball had "energy" regardless of the offensive pace of the game; none assist better than JDG to GDG in the 2nd half
-- 11 bench points (Pitt) and positive minutes from Fede; glad to see him back in action
-- 13 combined rebounds from the twins
-- 8 rebounds from Elliott. Who said he couldn't rebound?
-- 25-29 FT's (Pitt). Who said we were a poor FT shooting team?? Our past two games in Greensboro we are 45-53 from the charity stripe
-- 23.3/9.5/57 (ISU percentages FG/3PT/FT). Heck, we even defended the FT line well 😀
-- won without "needing" as huge a game stats-wise from JB and BH
-- doesn't a 2-0 record in the NCAAT normally put you in the Sweet 16?

Stay hungry, Panthers! Xavier will play a different style than our previous two opponents, for sure. But you guys look up to the task. Don't let Barack down!

H2P!
