Trade him now before other teams find out.If he doesn't come up with a pitch that can get left handed batters out he won't dominate no matter where he pitches.
Yep. And I love people saying "you can't keep on putting Keller out there". Ummmm, yes you can. One of two things will happen, both are good? 1) He figures it out and establishes himself or 2) he continues to get shelled and helps you lose 100.that 14-1 score was ugly but they are quickly dropping in the standings. now only 4 games out of last

🙄Do you seriously think that other teams don't know he doesn't have a pitch that can consistently get left handers out? Do you seriously think that if the Pirates did try to trade him (they aren't) that every team that they talked to wouldn't already know that if they wanted him to be successful that they were going to have to help him develop such a pitch?
Baseball teams aren't that stupid.
Lighten up Francis, it was clearly a joke! Just like the Pirates unfortunately.Do you seriously think that other teams don't know he doesn't have a pitch that can consistently get left handers out? I guess it's better to have the 2nd overall pick vs the 5th, but there can't be a sport where having a top draft pick matters less than MLB. About once every 10 years there is a Bryce Harper or Ken Griffey Jr. super-prospect that comes along, but most of the time you lose 95 games and you're lucky if the 4th overall pick turns into a decent major league player, let alone a franchise changing talent.Yep. It's not time to option Keller yet, but sometimes guys need to go back down to AAA to figure some things out. There is a mental aspect to the game. If he can work on his changeup in AAA and get guys out instead of getting shelled, that could help your franchise more long-term than the difference between the 5th overall pick and the 2nd, or whatever you get by having him lose you a game every 5th day.
They (Pirates) are painful to watch.Underwood blows another relief appearance this week. Twice come in late in a tie game and give up the house.
You mean kind of like the disparity between college football programs?Until they fix salary cap by team or create full revenue sharing of broadcast rights (TV and radio) it will never matter. There will always be anomalies but a Dodgers payroll of $250M vs the Pirates $56M will never compete. Maybe in a few games but a 162 game season really demonstrate the depth money can buy.

OMG, this has the Pirates written all over it. They’ll pick one of the high school shortstops, and 4 yrs from now Rocker and Leiter will be battling each other for the Cy Young, while the Pirate pick will be batting .223 at AA, and have been made an outfielder.Interesting......Keith Law just had his top 100 draft prospects released today in the Athletic.
Kumar Rocker has slid to #4. Jack Leiter to #5. The two High school Shortstops, 2 and 3. The new #1? Henry Davis, C from Louisville.
I am thinking the Pirates are going to take Davis or the shortstop Lawlor.

Louisville catcher Henry Davis is walking more than he's struck out, with power, patience, bat control, and a plus arm.theathletic.com
Or they’ll pick one of the pitchers, they’ll spend a number of years in the minors, maybe 3 or 4 with the Bucs getting their feet wet and honing their skills against major league level competition, then they’ll move on to another team and battle for Cy Young and WS championships.OMG, this has the Pirates written all over it. Don't forget about the Tommy John surgery that will surely be part of their development.Or they’ll pick one of the pitchers, they’ll spend a number of years in the minors, maybe 3 or 4 with the Bucs getting their feet wet and honing their skills against major league level competition, then they’ll move on to another team and battle for Cy Young and WS championships.
Would you rather have Joe Mauer, Matt Bush, Tim Beckham, Luke Hochevar or David Price?
Was kind of embarrassing that the Giants' strategy in the 11th was to intentionally walk everybody to get to Polanco. Good thing he burned them by making contact.
Come on. How can you say there is no rebuild plan? What is hilarious, there is no rebuild plan, it's maximize profits, then sell off anyone who hits free agency before they leave for nothing. The media and the ownership has been able to convince nimrods for 30 plus years there is gold at the end of the rainbow, it's horseshit in reality in a field! The ownership even has fans convinced , to never over spend or even spend fair MLB market for players, and then supports trading said players for draft picks and money , it's the most surreal thing glad I'm not a drone
20 runs, 7 home runs, and 2 grand slams in 9 inning! There really is nothing more to say about this tem and it’s prospects for the future…in my hop. There’s 8-10 teams rebuilding every year. There is no plan. It’s a farce.
Hey look - he knows it all. There’s 8-10 teams rebuilding every year. There is no plan. It’s a farce.
You are worse than an ignorant teenager. There’s 8-10 teams rebuilding every year. There is no plan. It’s a farce.

How would I know the plan? What is the Nutsack plan?
The only plan is to hope that their prospects become really good major league players some day.
A live look at Bob Nutting.
Isn't that basically the plan of every team that is rebuilding? Or do you suppose that there are teams that are rebuilding that aren't planning on having some of their prospects become really good players?
But it doesn’t mean they don’t have a plan. However, you seem to be extremely emotional so it makes it very difficult for you to see basic concepts clearly.Pirates don't plan on winning , it cost too to win for Nutting, is this really that hard to understand
