Will be replacing Under Armour, who reportedly has been bleeding money and dropping schools. New Balance is a Boston company and the Eagles will “get more out of the deal” as their flagship school. Thoughts?

I think you mean Russell Athletic, not Champion. For many years Georgia Tech had a deal with Champion.

I actually don’t disagree. At all. I hate Nike footwear. But it’s still an odd match but I did forget about Kawhi. And I doubt I’m alone.Well, maybe they know that NB's quality of shoe is way better than the cheap garbage Nike produces.
^^^This. Unless you are elite, Nike running shoes are complete garbage compared to NB.Well, maybe they know that NB's quality of shoe is way better than the cheap garbage Nike produces.
Those have been back with the youngsters for a while, not for basketball though.Converse canvas Chucks for basketball?
wvu switching to Members Only.Is it too late for Heather to get the Aeropostale deal back?
Lol....you guys are really out of touch. As mentioned by another poster Converse Chucks have been popular in the fashion circles in recent years.Converse canvas Chucks for basketball?
Keds were popular in the early 80's.I think BC wore NB years ago as well.Probably in the 80's.lolKeds must have lost out.
Fila Grant Hills are throwbacks that will always be popular. On a side note, my daughter's friend came over this weekend and had a pair of all white Fila sneaks. Are the all white making a comeback?
I certainly do. Didn’t remember the part about Pitt wearing them but absolutely remember Pony. I think they were somewhat big in boxing but not sure.Anybody remember Pony's?Another 80's shoe.Pitt basketball wore them for awhile
Frankly I also thought their basketball shoes sucked for actual playing .^^^This. Unless you are elite, Nike running shoes are complete garbage compared to NB.
And for football cleats at KMartI certainly do. Didn’t remember the part about Pitt wearing them but absolutely remember Pony. I think they were somewhat big in boxing but not sure.
This is a great deal on the surface. It’s actually a U.S. company that makes most of there shoes in the U.S. They make the best running shoes and always have. Love that they are expanding their market in other areas. I will pay extra money for their brand over any other simply because it’s made here. BC made the right move here regardless of the $.Will be replacing Under Armour, who reportedly has been bleeding money and dropping schools. If Pitt made a similar deal, the AD should be fired. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour. Nobody wants to wear New Balance. I'd be embarrassed AF walking around with a Pitt shirt with that N logo on it.This is a great deal on the surface. It is good enough for LFC. It is good enough for Pitt.If Pitt made a similar deal, the AD should be fired. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour. Nobody wants to wear New Balance. I'd be embarrassed AF walking around with a Pitt shirt with that N logo on it.
Wrong. Liverpool is buying, not recruiting. A famous coach once said the first question recruits ask is what shoes do you wear.It is good enough for LFC. It is good enough for Pitt.
LFC ditched NB for Nike last year, so not exactly the best example...It is good enough for LFC. It is good enough for Pitt.
Under Armour? Everybody who had a deal with them bailed . . . or was it the other way around? If Pitt made a similar deal, the AD should be fired. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour. Nobody wants to wear New Balance. I'd be embarrassed AF walking around with a Pitt shirt with that N logo on it.
I hate UA but they are at least a main brand.Under Armour? Everybody who had a deal with them bailed . . . or was it the other way around?
Oh contraire. The results clearly show Nike is killing their performanceLFC ditched NB for Nike last year, so not exactly the best example...
I like NB and associate it with Boston. However, I am not the target market. Asked my kid about tennis shoe brands: Nike are the best, Adidas are hard to break in, New Balance are crap.Going with NB sends the wrong message. If they want to recruit better players, go with Nike even if it's less money. However, BC doesn't care about winning more games.
