Heard this on the afternoon game. But this explains it. That’s what he is today.
He was actually optioned back down to AA today but remained with the team as the 27th man for the double-header. In what is likely his last ever at-bat in the major leagues, he gets a hit and an RBI!
Interesting thought there. Maybe instead of guys just loading up for the long ball more players/managers starting to focus on actually playing baseball!
