Freaking milbury crying about that no contact high stick that killed the Cap's last gasp bid
But he didn't say much about the missed high stick that cut Guentzel at the 9:46 mark of the third. Pens should have had a 4 minute power play. Justice is partially served.
I think Milbury is full of it. Oshie knew he made contact with Bonino's face, even if it was ever so slight.
Doesn't matter. They missed the high stick on Guentzel and they completely blew the entire game in Game 3. So if people want to stick to a "Pittsburgh get preferential treatment" narrative, so be it.
Mike Milbury will go down in history as one of the worst GMs in the game, certainly in the last 40 years. So of course you give a blockhead like that a mic and let him talk about the game. Sure, he's dumber than a box of rocks, but at least he, ah, well, um, OK, I'm actually not quite sure what he brings to the table.

And what about the 2 to 1 SOG the Caps had? Just like the 1st period of Game 2, if you have that kind of dominance in the offensive zone and you can't convert, STFU.

Sullivan is being careful that the series doesn't turn into a "slugfest " We can outplay the CAPS but not out hit them so Sullivan and Mario will wait until the PENS win to talk about the CAPS play!
Maybe if we have the series in hand he'll lower the boom on some lucky CAPS player! I hope so!

Joe, his moves are legendary. Trading Chara and a #1 (Spezza) for Alexei Yashin. Drafting Roberto Luongo #4 overall (great pick) then 2 years later trading him for the immortal Mark Parrish and over the hill Trevor Linden (not so great). Drafting Rick DiPietro #1 overall (horrible pick and why they traded Luongo). I mean his moves were David Littlefield retarded.
In due time my friend. The time to settle this is next year, in the regular season, dress Sestito, have him beat up Wilson. Next year. When it doesn't count. Now? big win last night. especially getting out shot 38-18. one of the best parts of the night was seeing tom wilson getting drilled and put on his ass.

Its got to suck being a Capitals player or fan. I don't think they can ever get past the Pens as currently constructed if they can't beat them without their best player, top defenceman, and top goalie, along with another important part in Sheary.
I really don't think he did make contact. But so what? If they are going to cry about that then cry about the missed 4 minute high stick which not only would have severely lessened the time the Caps had to tie the game but could have led to another goal for the Pens.
Eventually I saw the replay that showed he just hit Bonino's shoulder.
But yes, they missed the high stick on Jake.

Like I said, I don't think much more can go against a team that what the Pens endured in Game 3. The missed calls, the close calls, the overturned calls, the bounces all went the Caps way. The Pens got a break in Game 4 (again though the refs totally missed the obvious 4 minute call when Guentzel was high sticked) and that might have went into consideration for the overzealous call on Oshie at the end of the game.
But in a 7 game series, some go for, some go against. They tend to balance out. I do not want another sport to subject everything to replay.
