Which is why I started this thread. I knew I can motivate them.I guess the “they’re done” talk can be put on hold for a little while.

Hopefully finally get a win against themCasey DeSmith in goal for the Pens tonight against the Blackhawks.
Coming up empty with the two man advantage at the end of the first, and giving the Hawks too many power plays sunk the streak.I thought Maata played fine tonight, but him not being able to clear the puck set up that 4th Chicago goal.
Regardless, I thought him and Johnson were playing well during the streak.
You aren't the only one. It’s almost comical how that team was their number.
Maata always seem to be the whipping boy for some-I don’t get it.
The team just ran off 8 in a row, and are in good shape for the playoffs. You aren't the only one.
Yeah Cullen doesn't need to be an every game player. Play him in spots, but you know and I know, and especially in hockey, when you are in a win streak, coaches tend to be reluctant to make changes to lineups. The team just ran off 8 in a row, and are in good shape for the playoffs.
Why does there need to be a scapegoat?
On any given night, anyone can play poorly. Look at Malkin. He's just now starting to make plays and not give them up.
If anyone seems out of gas and done, it's Cullen. I don't think that one is working out.
Even Brassard is contributing more, giving them 3 solid lines.
Justin Schultz skating again. Should be back next month, can't hurt.
Sounds a lot like last night.what is it with this team scoring a couple early goals and then going asleep with awful
Puck possession for a period and a half??
Hold up a GO PITT sign so we can find you in the seats??Matt Murray in goal for the Pens tonight as expected against the Florida Panthers ....... I'll be at the game.
Oy vey....the Pens were not good tonight. But Matt Murray was really, really, really good tonight.
His save percentage is up to 0.918. Cripes, he raised it almost 50 points since his return.
Sorry guys, might as well clean up shop now. The season is over.
Yeah the Pens were sloppy tonight, gave some pucks away and saw Florida control the puck more, get more shots on goal, and more overall shot attempts then the Pens ...... two short-handed goals by the Pens, a disallowed goal scored by the Panthers because of an offside challenge by the Pens, and the TERRIFIC play of Murray in goal helped secure the win .....
Hornqvist and Aston-Reese both got hurt ..... not sure of the extent of the injuries ......
Pens now go on a 5 game road stretch ....
He’s playing like a number 1 goalie again.Sounds like ZAR broke his hand in the fight.
Hate to jinx him but MM is making a lot of people look foolish,...............Hope I didnt put the poni curse on him

More than "a number 1 goalie". He is playing like an elite, 2 time Stanley Cup winning goalie. He’s playing like a number 1 goalie again.
A really good stretch .

I was just saying, for some reason Murray never got his due by a large portion of Pittsburgh sports fans. He is a talent. Last year he was an average at best goalie. This year he started out and you wondered if those first couple of runs was it.Yup..........too lazy to look but his recent stretch may be the best hes played in his entire career. A performance like this in the Playoffs would help this team go a loooong way

But now, granted he has to prove he can stay healthy, but when he is healthy and on, he is one of the best goalies in the world.

Pens vs Ducks tonight ......
Murray vs Gibson in goal ......
Casey DeSmith signed to a 3 year contract extension today worth an average of 1.25 million per year ...... not sure what this means for Tristan Jarry.
