Only hope is that a team will have an injury and they think they can get Jarry back on track. At that point you trade him for a dozen pucks if a team is willing to take his contract.Big early saves by Blomqvist .
He will be playing a lot early in the season due to Nedeljkovic injury and the heavy schedule.
When Ned comes back I would use those 2 as my goalies.
Idk what they are going to do w/ Jarry? He is toast and his contract is an anchor .
Scoring helpsThey looked like a completely different team last night
Madden really doesn’t know anything about anything , including the one sport he’s supposedly understandsHeard Madden and Yohe declaring yesterday that the one new guy is not an NHL player and belongs in Wheeling. He had 2 goals last night.
He plays deck hockey. Has hosted roller hockey tournaments but I’ve never seen him play. You think someone that fat has the nimbleness required to actually skate?Madden really doesn’t know anything about anything , including the one sport he’s supposedly understands
Because he’s a fat guy who plays roller hockey .
So he’s on his shoes? He plays deck hockey. Has hosted roller hockey tournaments but I’ve never seen him play. You think someone that fat has the nimbleness required to actually skate?
I find it hard to believe he can even run in deck hockeyHe plays deck hockey. Has hosted roller hockey tournaments but I’ve never seen him play. You think someone that fat has the nimbleness required to actually skate?
Murray and Jarry are both head cases.Pens vs Canadiens tonight ......
Goalie situation for the Pens is somewhat interesting ....... I think Sullivan sent Jarry a message by starting Blomqvist the last 2 games after Jarry was less than stellar in the opener and Blomqvist played pretty well in Game 2 ..... Blomqvist was decent but not great in Game 3 ...... Jarry should play tonight and we'll see how he does ....... Ned is starting to practice again and when he is ready to play one of the goalies needs to be taken off the active roster ...... I suspect Blomqvist will be sent down to WBS but if he continues to play well, would think it is possible that at least one of Jarry and/or Ned will not be around by next season or maybe even at the trade deadline ...... it's early in the season though and we'll have to see how things play out with the goalies and the team in general, could be interesting.
Some initial thoughts on Blomqvist after the 2 games he played ........ decent size (listed at 6'3", 200lbs), athletic and pretty agile, very good lateral movement/pushes, solid skater, decent at playing puck behind net, rebound control ok, save selections have been fine, etc. ....... on the down side, he has been off angle on some shots and plays relatively deep in net all of which has made him somewhat susceptible to high shots to the far side ..... 4 of his 6 goals against he was either off angle and/or too deep in the net and 3 of those 4 goals were to the far side, 5 of 6 goals he was beaten high ....... it's only 2 games and we'll see how he adjusts but the more he plays and the more video on him, NHL shooters will find his weak spots and try to take advantage of them ...... I think his future looks bright but so did Matt Murray's after his first couple years so let's see how he does going forward ...... time will tell and if Blomqvist blossoms, Jarry and/or Ned could be gone before next season. .... they also like Sergei Murashov the 20 y/o down at WBS ....... should be interesting to see what happens with the Pens goalies over the next year or two.
I find it hard to believe he can even run in deck hockey
I can tell you that he knows little about the Premier League, which he professes to be his passion. But really his passion is Liverpool FC and that’s what he knows a lot about even though he doesn’t understand the nuances of the game in general or what’s going on in and around the sport outside of Liverpool. It’s kinda the same for him with the Pens and the NHL. Although he knows more than most of us when it comes to the NHL because most of us are casuals.Madden really doesn’t know anything about anything , including the one sport he’s supposedly understands

I never saw him play, but I played against some of his coached teams and he reffed alot of my games.I find it hard to believe he can even run in deck hockey
Unfortunately to trade Jarry we would have to eat a good bit of his contract and include a high draft pick or a top prospect. Can’t trade Jarry soon enough. Dude is mentally softer than charmin
For sure after playing so sloppy. But they have to clean things up. Not always going to be able to pull these outPens WIN 6-5 in OT with goal by Crosby !
Much needed win !
I have to admit y'all have me following the Pens in October!Pens WIN 6-5 in OT with goal by Crosby !
Much needed win !
I'd be surprised if the number of chances he gets from here is more than oneIf Sullivan goes back to him next game, to hell with him. This bum needs to be bought out and Ned and Bloomie can battle it out for number one.
@goaliemanJust saw box score. 40% save percentage. Yikes.
I am available at league minimum. I was 91% in beer league (B grade). You can say I'm not facing NHL shooters, but I also play with beer league (B grade) defense in front of me. Sometimes I have both D behind the net! Only 50% of my D can skate backwards.
I think I am the man for the job. But I do need a Speights gold medal ale between periods. In beer league, you only have 2 minutes to drink it as there is no ice groom between periods.
Malkin is on fire. 4 point night for him. "I am score."
You convinced me !@goalieman
Why is that funny. I might've given up the goal when Karlson totally brain farted in front of the net. I see D like that every play pretty much.
But the mishandling of the puck by Jarry behind the net never happens with me. If an opposition forward gets that close to me I drop him (or her in beer league B grade) with the blocker. Melee ensues but no goal.
I have never given up 3 on 5. I did give up a goal on the first shot this season when really hung over, but got my shit together and we won 3-2.
I'm the man for the job.
Back in the day, 30 years ago, he couldn’t move…but had an unbelievable slap shot from the point on the PP.I never saw him play, but I played against some of his coached teams and he reffed alot of my games.
