The difference Ski, is Cowher did not spend most of his career with a HOF QB in his prime. Tomlin has. This is not a race thing. I could care less if Cowher was blue and Tomlin was striped.

I won’t argue that. That was 20 years ago. We all knew people who were prejudice against black QB’s. It was a real thing. But a majority of those people were the old generation that grew up differently than the way we grew up. Those people are dying off. And while today there are certainly people who have a problem with Tomlin because he’s black, they are very few and far between. My point to Owt is that no one should have to feel like they have to put out some kind of a disclaimer before they criticize a coach. If you want to criticize tomlin, criticize him. No one should give you grief about it.

Kordell couldn’t play qb in the nfl. Cowhers stubbornness kept him at an a year or two too many. A smarter coach would have talked kordell into moving full time as a wr and had he done that, he’d have had a nice career.
The color of his skin allowed cowher the leeway to keep trying him at qb despite everyone seeing the obvious, his accuracy was horrid. A white qb, with his failures at qb, would have been benched long before kordell was. Cowher wanted to be some sort of pioneer and it set the team back years.
