Patriots

Baltimore is the only team in the AFC that can properly defend this team. That is why I was pushing for them so hard but they wet the bed against the Chargers

KC made a critical unforced mistake, offside , that cost them the game. The KC safeties were worthless on 3rd and long.
Part of what makes Belichick (and MacDaniel) look so good is how mediocre the thinking is for most nfl coaches.

It's not just game day coaching. People dramatically underestimate how solid the patriots players are in fundamentals, how few unforced mistakes they make, and how adaptable they are in allowing their coaches to adapt schemes significantly from game to game. Think that's a coincidence?

You saw how dumb the Ram secondary was on that final drive today. They were just lucky the officials were blind

Yup. Brady deservedly gets a lot of credit but dearth belichekc is the genius. Their D has no stars but has been the key in both playoff games

Off the topic, but if I owned the Steelers, I would offer Romo our Head Coaching job. Romo knows more about football than anyone in the game. Knows where the ball is going to go and knows what both sides of the ball can do to counter the other.

Fire Tomlin and hire Romo.

They’re greatest ever, but tired of watching them. They’re so good and predictable it’s boring.

Sean McVay will be an interesting foil to Belichick. McVay is not just good at X's and O's. The Rams offensive line is superb at executing their blocks. Blitzing against the Ram's is tough because their OL is so good adjusting the blocking scheme and giving Goff time. I am not high on Goff since I think he takes to long to make decisions. I think blitzing him is a mistake since it makes the reads easier, and he has all the tools (strong arm, good release, good size, and decent wheels) to make teams pay with accurate deep throws.

Rams defense just played against a darn good qb and a better overall offense. The Rams D will compete against the Pats offense and Brady. The game will be decided by the Rams offense and the Pats defense.

This is a terrible take.

ICYMI...This will be New England's first Super Bowl since 2018.

May their appearance this year result as the same as back then.

I'm willing to bet Aaron Donald has either a roughing the passer or an unsportsman like conduct pentalty called. He's not gonna F around with NE.
Oh that's for sure. Because last night's penalty showed yet again that the league will order up RTP call even if a defender merely waves his arm in the general vicinity of Brady.

In all serious, the Pats are going to eat the Rams alive I fear. Donald will shoot the gaps on occasion, the center will just tackle him and the league won't call it. Otherwise, Pats will do what they always do, find that little wiener in the middle for gashing gains, the big moose will exploit their smallish safeties, White, Michel and the latest white back they have with dart annoyingly for first downs. On the flip side, Goff isn't ready yet for prime time, they should have lost yesterday but the Saints settled for too many FG. You'll be distracted by the commercials, suddenly look up and the Patriots will have won 33-21. Brady wil proclaim he's playing till he's 50. Because why not, he's never touched.

You don't think Romo has an incredible handle on the Xs and Os?

Sure. But I think it’s foolish to take what a guy says from a booth when he’s announcing a game and extrapolate that he’d be better than Tomlin.

All you have to do is look at Bellichek and Brady to know that knowledge matters. Knowledge matters in coaching. Do you think Tomlin, on most game days, give the Steelers a strategic advantage?

Cool. He can be the single most overrated coach in the NFL at the same time that it can be ludicrous to claim Romo is a better coach based on what he says in the booth.
I have never seen anybody in the booth that impresses me as much as Romo. He is unbelievably right on, game after game. To think that CANNOT transfer to the field is baffling

The Patriot coaching staff and ownership are all the things the Steelers aren't:
1. Disciplined
2. Smart
3. Process / plan driven

If you don't want him as head coach, offer him a ridiculous amount to be OC, or for that matter DC

The Detroit Lions hired Matt Millen to run the team solely based on his announcing and that worked out so well for them;)

Romo is overrated in my book, CBS gave him free reign to talk over Nance before the snap, no one else was really allowed to do that before.

Millen is nowhere near Romos equal.

That’s a different discussion.

I’ve seen plenty of Romo games. Being able to talk Xs and Os from a booth is completely different from coaching a game.
