Do like his shot blocking though
He is an odd mixture of seeming athleticism and then pure lack of coordination. My hope would be that he develop into a theo ratliff type, though he may be more of a Ty HaughtonOn the block on the fast break he had that guy lined up from half court.

Right now he does not have even decent hands. He has not played much (in his lifetime) there may come some improvement. He definitely needs to get stronger. That can come too.He plays as if he's afraid to have the ball in his hands.

He is a developmental big. He has some length and athleticism. he can run. I can see him become a rim protector who can defend in the post and rebound. That is not all bad.
Yeah, Gary was limited, but despite his bad hands he had like 5 turnovers in 100+ minutes as a freshman, Peace had 5 turnovers in his first 20 minutes of play. Gary had stone hands but general coordination and some basketball sense. Peace is like starting from scratch, I am surprised we did not redshirt him.For the newer Pitt fans, this is what Gary McGhee looked like trying to catch the ball as a freshman.

Gary, as a freshman, never really had to handle the ball in Dixon's offense. He got offensive rebounds and putbacks, that was about it.Yeah, Gary was limited, but despite his bad hands he had like 5 turnovers in 100+ minutes as a freshman, Peace had 5 turnovers in his first 20 minutes of play. Peace is big, he moves pretty well. his shooting form is not terrible. little jump hook was smooth. foul shot form was ok. If the kid works his tail off, on his game and his body, he could be something. Hopefully a big leap next year. Pitt has a bunch of guys that have the potential to take a big leap forward. if they do, this team could be really good in 2 years. big if, but potential is there. Stallings is also a lot more likable this year.He looked a lot better yesterday than I ever thought he could, at least during this season. But yeah, seems to be a tad uncoordinated missing some rather easy rebounds.
Totally agree and try to remember people Pitts not going to get Duke and Kentucky like one and done freshman . I saw a lot of potential . Potential and development that’s what the next few seasons of Pitt bb are about not W and L .Peace is big, he moves pretty well. his shooting form is not terrible. little jump hook was smooth. foul shot form was ok. We were talking about Gary last night and we could not remember what team it was that he had four fouls against in less than a minute. Think there is any chance the hate for Stallings over his first couple seasons could dissipate over the years should several of his kids develop the way we hope?God, that was an amazing sequence to watch. People hated Gary McGhee and Brad Wanamaker so much their first couple of years.

Good reply! I totally agree!I think it could, especially given that the Sean Miller fantasy should be gone at this point.
I think a temper tantrum was inevitable for any coach we could have reasonably hired except for Brandin Knight, and I think he would have been an absolute disaster.
Even if you get a guy like Andy Enfield, that’s still a clear step back from Dixon, he no longer plays his Dunk City style (just like Smart no longer does his Havoc defense at Texas), and now you have the FBI sniffing around USC.
So I just don’t think there was any winning if you’re Pitt. And I’m hopeful that the temper tantrum subsides if Stallings gets Pitt back to the NCAAs, because what Pitt needs more than anything is stability and proof that a coach not named Jamie Dixon can win and sustain success at Pitt.

Stallings might literally have been the worst hire possible. Enfield would have been meh but I’d give him a chance. Some up and comer, maybe we would get lucky. Stallings? No upside whatsoever, old, and not a good record at his previous gig he was about to get fired at.
