Dissapointing so far.

Round 3 almost over and I thought Johnson and Peterman would be off the board. Guess day 3 will hear a lot of Pitt names.

I have been on this board since 05. this happens every year. huge hopes and Homer evaluations of pitt players and then players go much lower. NFL scouts are a little better than we are at evaluating these guys

I always thought Draft analysts overrated Peterman and Johnson. Both were good college players but I didn't think either were "dominating." Johnson, especially, its tough to get a gage on OL play but I thought our non-jet sweep running game was disappointing last year. I thought we could just line up and pound it for 5 yards every play and that didn't happen.

Yep, we lost games because we couldn't do that at crucial times.

All the draft gurus had Shady McCoy in the first round...The scouts let him drop to the mid/late 2nd round and took Knowshown (Sucks) Moreno and Chris (Beanie) Wells instead. So the scouts are actually not better than the rest of us. I still think Peterman us better than several QBs already taken and Johnson is falling because this is a skill position loaded draft.

Moreno imo was pretty good, cut short by major injuries.

Peterman might be the best qb to come out of this draft. Trubitsky and Kizer are on terrible teams, so even if they had a shot at being good, no chance. Mahomes needs about 5 years of work before he'll be any good...but nobody waits that long in the NFL. Watson is the toughest to gage imo....he's a wildcard. Beatherd and Dobbs are terrible. Peterman and Kaaya are imo the top 2 in this draft by far.

Agree most of the time pitt fans over rate the Pitt players. I wouldn't pick peterman or johnson before round 5. With that being said I think Orndorff is better than his rating. I also thought shady was a first round pick for sure but he had character issues which scared some people and caused him to drop.

All they need is to get into a camp. We all know that a good % of Pitt kid's perform & succeed when challenged once they get to the NFL.
I see all 4 of Nate, James, Adam & Dorian becoming regulars for 2-3 seasons if not longer barring injuries. And I will not be surprised to see 1 or more of Jaymar, Scott, Blewitt, Dontez, Matt, Jarrett find their way onto a opening day roster.
H2 PITT !!!
