Pitt ranked No. 24 in first coaches poll

The USA Today/NWCA preseason coaches poll was released yesterday and Pitt checked in at No. 24. The Panthers' schedule for 2017-18 is loaded with teams in the poll:

8. N.C. State
9. Virginia Tech
10. Lehigh
11. Arizona State
16. South Dakota State
18. Wisconsin
19. Oklahoma
22. North Carolina

Plus, Cal State Bakersfield, West Virginia, Bucknell, North Dakota State and Virginia all received votes. Here's the full poll:

Team wrestling rankings are always so strange, as results rely on individual match-ups.

I would think reaching the high-teens would be an attainable goal this year, especially with big improvements at the upper weights as hoped when Gavin came in.
