Quiet thread with the good start. I am worrying a little about our shot selection. A lot are falling, but several way off. UVA on a little run now. As a whole, they are getting easier ones.
Fede looks pretty good so far. Couple blocks and boards. Some legit inside play will help balance things.
UVa is sort of like Patrick Mahomes. If you make mistakes and give opportunities, they are going to cash in. That's pretty much howe we went from 24-18 to 25-24. We can't afford silly turnovers like being out of bounds when receiving a pass against them.
That was a big swing, going from them having the chance at a two or three to us getting two foul shots.
Sort of like NCST. Pitt isn’t anywhere good enough to blow out many teams, let alone UVa on the road. But as long as they don’t have extended scoreless streaks, they should stay in it.
Getting a little dangerous. They are scoring in a variety of ways. We are jump shooting and hoping to get hot again.
Only "stop" we've had this half is because their guy missed 2 at the charity stripe.
That could be the offset for UVA otherwise starting to carry the play. Let’s get some stops and let Blake heat up.
Only a matter of time until they start calling Hinson for lowering his shoulder. Been getting away with it.
It says something that Virginia made their first eight shots of the half, and yet two minutes later we are back with a four point lead.
I was thinking just the same... how in hell are we hanging when they went 12 for 12!
If we can make them take even a few shots outside the lane, we can beat this team. The offense has looked real good.
Gotta say, we're showing some grit lately, for sure. This is the type of game that got away from us earlier in the year and ended up in a 10-point loss. Now, we're punching back.
Well we are 4-6 on twos and 5-8 on threes so far this half, so we are shooting lights out.
This team is SO much better than they were mid-season. Impressed with the development of the team... and playing as a team
