Settling for threes? That’s the entire offense. Find the open shooter and throw it up without conscience.
Can get away with that against a trash opponent, but no way to live IMO.
I think the back to back threes by Hinson is about the sweetest thing I have seen in awhile.
Execution my friend. Stopped dumb turnovers, stopped the bad screens and now getting good shots almost every trip. The talent is here to win games, especially when we are not outphysicalled, like today.
Ryan Burr (who used to be a reporter at Fox Sports PGH and is a host on Golf Channel) is a great example of network execs thinking that just because a guy is good at reading a TelePrompter he’s going to be able to do play-by-play. They are two completely different skill sets.
Will Jeffress is a nice kid, a good student. He also should next year think about grad school next year at a smaller school.
Well then they should have found a way to shoot a higher volume, because the scoreboard reads 56 points with 6 minutes left. They look bad to me, and I hammered the -9.5 live bet at halftime.

I never realized how far ahead of the game broadcast DraftKings is until I was following the Texas/Washington game the other day looking to be offered a cash out. I could really spoil some sporting event outcomes at parties if only I was cool enough to get invited to them.
I keep the game stats up on my computer during games. The game stats are usually 30 seconds or so ahead of the television, and sometimes it's even more than that. I've seen the television a minute and a half or so behind that game stats at times.
BTW, Carrington played all 40 minutes. 2-2 on ones, 4-5 on twos, 2-5 on threes, tied for the team lead with 6 rebounds, team leading five assists, 1 steal, 1 block and 1 turnover, with three seconds left when it looked like he thought the clock had run out and traveled with the ball.

A second year of Bub and Lowe would change the course of Pitt hoops the way Knight, Brown, Page, etc did 20 years ago. Fingers crossed.
Wouldn't mind Austin continuing to play like today also. It's important to remember tho, Louisville did not play physical on ball defense. We play so much better when teams guard us more loosely. Unfortunately for us, most ACC teams will be physical with us.

Lville is bad, but Interesting that Austin had his best game when Ish did not play. I like Ish, but he does sometimes look to do too much and take a lot of questionable thoughts. No doubts Capel has to roll with this starting lineup against Fuke.

Capel seems to lack some gameday coaching ability with calling set plays and coaching for mismatches. Today's game he was a little better and he seems to have emphasized ball movement and passing as opposed to dribble, dribble, dribble. That's an improvement and what I saw as the biggest improvement from the previous games. With an obviously more talented team, this Pitt team should have won by 20+. And allowing a decimated team with 7 scholarship players to score 70 is playing some porous defense. But I'll take the win. As always, Pitt must score 80+ to have a chance of winning in the ACC.
We'll need to improve dramatically if we have any hopes of being above 0.500 in the ACC. Presently, we're a 7 or 8 win ACC team, if we play better. That won't get us to any tournament.
Lowe has to play 30+ minutes. That kid can play on offense and defense. His floor vision, basketball IQ, and ability to get assists to score is outstanding.
From where he’s come from at the beginning of the season to now it appears that he’s been properly handled by the staff .
