It’s also because Cuse had to play aggressive and honestly the refs bailed them out a bunchPerhaps read my comment again. That last 10 minutes was an embarrassing display of poor shots, turnovers and terrible clock management.
I also said, great 30 minutes. But you didn’t read that, or the Hail to Pitt
Need Dior Back - He will help.Whew !
Pitts guards just don’t handle the ball good enough .
2-0 is pretty sweet .
He is the only true pg we haveNeed Dior Back - He will help.

Mintz was damn impressive. I said earlier he would look good in a Pitt uni. Too bad we couldn't hold on to him.We don't have a real point guard, and sometimes it shows.
Mintz and Hood-schifino make my heart hurt a little - they are both really damned impressiveMintz was damn impressive. I said earlier he would look good in a Pitt uni. Too bad we couldn't hold on to him.
Yeah 20 point lead…good grief!
And we needed all of itWe were also good enough to get a 20 point lead - lol.
Truth. Add those two to this lineup....well.Mintz and Hood-schifino make my heart hurt a little - they are both really damned impressive
Wonder if any of the transfers wouldn’t have transfered in if those guys were here. So might not be the exact team, but yeah I’d love to have them.Truth. Add those two to this lineup....well.
No he doesn’t. He’s a fun player averaging double digit points. Just made some mistakes today.Elliott stinks!
I think Cummings wanted to come home. Elliot, who knows. Mintz and Shifino are both freshmen. Rather take the young talent like those two with Cummings.Wonder if any of the transfers wouldn’t have transfered in if those guys were here. So might not be the exact team, but yeah I’d love to have them.
They are making mistakes while trying to make a play for the most part .No he doesn’t. He’s a fun player averaging double digit points. Just made some mistakes today.
Elliot has hit some big baskets. All year he hits his FTs, big threes and has been nothing but consistent this year. He has exceeded expectations. No he doesn’t. He’s a fun player averaging double digit points. Just made some mistakes today.

Dior Johnson should solve that problem. Will take that win! Have to wonder if the secret is out a bit now with our lack of a floor leader and true ball handler on how to handle Pitt's hot 3 point shooting by pressing and pressuring.
Are we down to a seven man rotation?

I wouldn't say they turned it off. They just made a lot of bad plays and bad decisions. I had to go back and rewatch the last 10 minutes. 3 times we launched 3's with 20-22 seconds left on the shot clock. 3 times when we were up double digits with less than 8:00 to go (!!!). We fouled a 3-point shooter for a 4-point play. We obviously made several stupid turnovers, including Hinson giving a breakaway 2 and Elliott later stepping out of bounds. We couldn't rebound a missed free throw leading to a put-back that made it 83-79. Syracuse gets some credit for ramping up the D, too. When JDG was in it allowed them to really stretch the zone and pressure us. But that said, if you want to (nearly) blow a 16-point lead with under 8:00 to go, all of the above make it possible. Two baskets since 10:45 that made it 72-52.
That was some embarrassing coaching and play. How do you just turn it off? That was ridiculous.
Great 30:15 seconds guys. Hail to Pitt.
Was fatigue a factor late with the short bench? Very possibly.I wouldn't say they turned it off. They just made a lot of bad plays and bad decisions.
