The offense is letting our defense down

Through three games, our defense’s national rankings:

- 5th in Total Defense (Yards Allowed)
- 2nd in Passing Yards Allowed
- T-27th in Sacks
- 16th in 3rd Down Defense
- T-39th in Points Allowed

Furthermore, the other teams in the defensive top ten have the following records:

1. Air Force (3-0)
2. Michigan (3-0)
3. Ohio State (3-0)
4. Notre Dame (4-0)
5. Pitt (1-2)
6. Ohio (3-1)
7. Memphis (3-0)
8. Clemson (2-1)
9. Iowa State (1-2)
10. Florida (2-1)

We’re one of only two schools with losing records, and Iowa State has a decent argument that the refs robbed them of being 2-1. It feels a lot like 2019 again but with an even worse offense.

Offense it definitely letting them down. At the same time, they're probably inflating the D's stats a bit because other teams know they don't need to score much; they just need to not do anything stupid and then let Phil Jurkovec start passing out candy like it's Halloween.
