If there's an adult in Steeler Land ownership, on the coaching staff, or in the locker room someone needs to step up and manage these children.

Keep this stuff in the locker roo. in -house.
JuJu team leaders don't publish stuff like this about their team in the national media.
They meet with their coaches and teammates and rally them!

Tomlin should fine the next guy ( big fine ) who does anything media related. It's a Steelers media black-out unless it comes from the HC or owners.

It continues to be one social media embarrassment after another and it doesn't appear to be slowing down.

Our arch rivals the Patriots are looking like an organized, well managed, NFL franchise in the Superbowl while the Steelers are looking like they're falling apart.

How About Shut Up and Play Football and WIn and that means you too Ju Ju.
You say stuff like you just said to your owners, coaches, and teammates behind closed doors
not in the national media.

tomlin lets these players act like kids.. show up late for meetings or not at all. james Harrison sleeping in meeting rooms is acceptable. He built a culture of looking the other way, trying to be a player's coach and all these former players are openly mocking him..

I think it needs to be blown up and rebuilt from the ground up before that happens. I just don't see a big change until there is a new coaching staff and Bell, Brown, and Ben are all gone.

That's the concerning part of this onging story.
The Ravens, Bengals, and Browns are works in progress but looking like they're trending up while the Steelers are sitting still or trending downward.

Disagree on the Bengals and ravens, unless you Jackson as a future stud QB, I don't. Browns do appear to be trending up, but that's not hard to do when winning 7 games is cause for celebration. Let's see another year before we jump to conclusions on the others in the division. Now no question the Steelers appear to be trending down

am I the only one who thinks this whole "have to get control" "lost the locker room" "discord among the ranks" "need to get control soon or dogs and cats will be living together" narrative is like most stuff today way way overblown by the press etc.and your average Steeler is ok and ready to play and not an emotional reality show train wreck and can actually function if JuJu or Antonio Brown said something stupid during the week?

Good article about JuJu being tired of things being aired in the press.
Now JuJu needs to stop airing things in the press.
Settle stuff out inside the house unless as Upj87 suggests all this confussion could be a Steeler plan to trick Belichick and others?
I get it now the Bell, AB, Ben, Tomlin, Rooney, stuff is on purpose.

I love you Juju but do me a favor. Shut up and play football. What you are doing right now in the media is exactly what the problem has been.

This whole off season bashing of the Steeler "culture problem" is way overblown. You had the Leveon drama for the first part of the season. Then you had the AB "I'm first and second and the team is somewhere later on" drama late. The media bashing is fair. Tomlin, Colbert and Rooney 2 let this get out of hand. But the new spin is that it is not ABs fault.

I'm sorry. AB is the one that constantly pouted if he didn't get his 10 catches and 100 yards. AB is the one who pouted and threw a temper tantrum when Juju was named team MVP. AB is the one that walked out on his team. This new scenario where AB apologizes and comes back and the team sings Kumbaya is ridiculous. A leopard can't change his spots. The man is a cancer and the the team will be better off without him and Bell.

Tomlin and the rest of management have to regain control. But take away the 2 drama queens and the Steeler's culture is no different than anywhere else. Next year should be addition by subtraction.

Yes. Juju being tired of things being aired in the press, which Juju is airing in the press.

Suggestion to management: Juju is young and a good football player. Set him down and tell him that he is in danger of becoming another AB and the team won't stand for it. Nip it in the bud. NOW

I know the "progressives" on this forum get upset when Tomlin is criticized, but Mike Tomlin's Steelers are becoming very much like Marvin Lewis's Bengals. And like the Bengals, a lot of talent, a lot of regular season success, and not much post season success.

I'm not a Tonkin fan but I'm not going to make that comparison until we are about five years out and still in the same place. Tomlin has done far better than Lewis. Tomlin actually deserves the patience Lewis somehow received.

A better comparison is Mike McCarthy.

There is some truth to that but you cannot have your stars or inmates running the asylum.

I don't believe anyone deserves anything!
That's not how things work.
Team investors, and owners can fire anyone at anytime for any reason or keep a coach hoping for a turnaround.

I think most fans and media would agree with you if Tomlin and team hadn't rolled out the Steelers weekly "sideshow " which continues today.

Lewis and McCarthy weren't winning but kept most of the dirty laundry in the family laundry room.

Tomlin lost control of the team over a period of time as has been reported on The Fan, and in other sports media outlets which can be The End for a coach.

Not to mention he was one of the top ranked coaches for losing to teams with sub .500 records, letting big leads disappear in the 3rd and 4th Q's and not using staff to manage activities like challenges.

Rivers summed it up for me when he said we made adjustments on the fly and in the second half and the Steelers didn't.

You guys are nuts. This isn't 1970 anymore. I wasn't around for those days, but my dad tells me Swann and Stallworth used to fight all the time over who was open and who deserved the ball.

This is what the NFL wants, it's why they have forced media days for players and coaches. You have talented players, reports are going to hang on every word they say and blow it up. These guys are adults and need to learn that if they want to be media stars, they have to do that on their own time and still put in the work on gameday. Same as if I want to drink my brains out daily after 6:00, my employer doesn't care until it starts to affect my work the next day.

Let's see how many players flock to the Patriots after Ton Brady leaves. I'm willing to bet Bill retires that same year also and that franchise goes down the shitter. Tom runs that team, not Bill. Nobody can control Gronk, he does what he wants and the team accepts it cause he balls out on Sundays.

Brown isn't coming back. Letting thr league know he's available and by saying we might keep him are moves to drive up his price. Listen to JuJu and others, they don't want him back. They're ready to move on.

JJSS is 21 or 22 and has no leadership in his locker room. He’s trying to be the voice of reason when the responsibility should absolutely not be his. He’s simply trying to pilot a crashing plane.

Who's supposed to be the pilot of the crashing plane that JuJu is trying to save?
Can't wait for this one?

You show leadership by communicating with your team, in a team meeting, speaking to your teammates in a group or privately , going to the HC with suggestions, not by spouting off in the press.

This is how AB started, he'd push the limits to see what he could get away with and eventually he concluded he had no limits.

This is the reason schools separate the disruptive students from the rest of the class or why businesses fire the trouble maker in an effort to establish basic rules and order.

JuJu is heading down the same road!
Hopefully someone with some initiative has a talk with him.

Disagree. JuJu is showing signs like AB did when he was young. Not saying he will turn out the same. I like the kid. But now is the time to cool it. And if he wants to be the voice of reason that's fine. But do it in private, not in front of a mike. And you'll be surprised how much less of a clown show the Steelers are when the two main clowns leave town.

Wanna bet?

JuJu, Conner, Watt they are the next guys in line to turn into clowns. We're the Steelers, not the Lions or Bills. These guys will have mic's in their face every move they make on and off the field. Every word they say will be used and turned against them. Money changes EVERYBODY.

I feel bad for the people trying to say juju is on the same path as AB. Lol. Total opposite.

Anyone who's saying JuJu is AB isn't paying attention.

If you don't like JuJu you don't like life, so try the long walk off the short pier.

JuJu is a young talented great kid.
At this time he's working in crazy town and needs some advise to be sure he doesn't decide that behaving like AB is the way to get attention, fame, and money.

It isn't the best way to go if he intends to stay in the game for a long time!
There aren't a lot of role models on the Steelers!

IMO AB will flame out, crash, end up one of the 75% of NFLers who retire or leave the game bankrupt or broke!

JuJu would be wise to take a different path!

Of course it is. The sports media know their target audience

Look at who are constantly commenting on the “drama”. The same posters who are continually outraged about everything.
The Fox News geritol generation
Actually you are once again confused.

Anyone w half a clue can see what’s going on at the Soufside clown show

And it’s anything but peripheral to those who know how to run an NFL franchise that can win playoff games and don’t lolligag w a HOF QB and roster full of all stars.

2nd paragraph leaves you out.

Browns haven’t done shit to be mocking anyone else. One non-pathetic season does not a dynasty make.

If anyone can turn James Conner into a clown I will be truly amazed. Other than Larry Fitzgerald I can't think of anyone who would be a more difficult task.

Really a shame the Steelers couldn't have realized their potential. This Super Bowl would have been a cake walk for them, if only they could have not imploded and somehow made it there
