The Twins……

Did a nice job tonight. Talk about potential! I know they need to put on a lot of muscle, but they are talented. Very talented. Kudos to Capel.
They looked like (near) future stars tonight.

they play with fun and intensity
Little more strength and they will be very good contributors

G league or nba draft. Draft based on potential and develop them. Was Steven adams amazing? No. But he was young and had potential with that size.

They can make up for it at times with their athleticism and enthusiasm, but they’d get destroyed at their weight and strength in the NBA. Definitely need to get stronger, even before the G League

Why do people keep saying this? Where are they going?
Well, next year if Hughley and Fede stay then Bill may be third string center. Will he stay? George may have a chance for more minutes, since he plays the 4. But would he stay if his brother leaves for more playing time?

They remind me of a cross between Kendall/Zavackas. Both probably better as frosh with higher ceilings.

I’d bet Hugley is gone and whichever plays the 5 is better than Hugley. A healthy Hugley is still and will always be a mid major player

It would be best if Hugley would leave. He should not start next season.

it would be good to bring in an experienced widebody 4-5 type To spell Fede and Hinson (in certain matchups)

Let’s face it, Hugley himself likely has no intent to ever return. I feel bad if he is having physical or mental health issues right now, but he’s a young, strong guy and will almost surely recover, hopefully so. But he’ll likely associate Pitt with his troubles and will be ready to move on. So he’ll likely will be no issue with the twins playing time.

How much are NIL deals paying? How much would they stand to make professionally over in Europe for a couple years? If European leagues pay more, they should leave. Playing here this year probably has them on the NBA's radar, and I think they have future potential. No point in being in school, they need to work on their bodies and their skills.

I think their decisions to play in America was smart.
You can tell how much tougher it's already made them

Are you guys high?

First off if they went overseas right now and played in any of the good leagues they would get completely dominated. So no team is gonna pay them. Professional basketball teams over there don’t pay on potential you get one year contracts.

Second, there is not a chance in hell that ANY NBA GM has either of the twins on their radar. The only people who even know who they are are area college scouts for each team who would be fired for even breathing their names.

You’re right. But I don’t think it’s unreasonable for Pitt fans to be excited about their potential. They have a ways to go, but I think there’s a skill set there that could make them excellent college players.

people say it because in college hoops these days, everyone is a free agent. who knows what happens. they seem to love it here.
They aren’t going to get money from someone. They aren’t going higher than Pitt. They could go somewhere mid major and play more, I suppose.

Western Kentucky
Western Kentucky will absolutely pay for whoever their next savior is. Cash, NIL and possibly hiring their guardian again. It may even be…. YOU KNOW WHO! 😉

Stansbury is by far the worst coach in WKU history and I’d expect him to be canned for someone who will take over Conference USA, however.

People really shouldn't jump people when they say if X player sticks around or is around.

I did that last year after the season with Addison in a post and someone jumped me. Now, I did not know what exactly was going to happen, would happen. But, I have a little gut feeling that gave mecause me to word it like that.

But, there are a so many different things that could pop up with these kids now.

NIL, some other league ... Pretty much every team is turning over 1/3 of its team nearly every off season.

I agree ... the question is whether the benefit of playing another year in America outweighs playing somewhere else. They have developed some toughness, now they need to develop some muscle. I think the best way for them to do that is a place where they do not have to worry about school, but can solely focus on that.

Where would they do this?

I don’t ever recall a Pitt player of note leaving early to play overseas or go to the G League or some other developmental pro league .

Does this happen with any regularity at other schools? The pro leagues overseas have very good - very seasoned players . Levance , Wannamker , McGhee , etc have had success - but after highly productive college careers.

Capel, Hinson, Fede, the twins, Tre Mitchell and his step-dad to WKU?

The best WR in the country and twins averaging 5/5 combined are not the same. As I said, they could transfer down. There is no indication they will do that
