This board is pretty tame for a 6-0 squad

Impressive win, in that the offense sputtered but the defense carried the day.

Ben Sauls is the best placekicked in Pitt history.

Cal’s QB was a tough mother, and that tight end is still running loose.

Into the heart of the ACC schedule we go…..

That was an NFL-level kick. I was very impressed.

What? No way. Traffic was bad and they are all just still driving back from the game. They were surely in their seats at least 30 minutes early too. Long day.

Well the original post that started this thread lamenting that there wasn't much activity here was posted at 7:36. The game actually ended sometime around 7:00. So yeah, if someone actually went to the game (unlike the person who started the thread) it was pretty unlikely that by 7:36 they had gotten home and hurried on to the computer to post about the game.

This Pitt team isn’t that talented. Probably less talented than many 7 or 8 win Pitt teams in the post majors 2 era. A couple things have to go your way to be 6-0, and things went our way.

These games are fun and I’m excited for each game. That’s not a bad thing.
Silliness. There is a lot of young talent on this team. No one goes 6-0 without talent.

He didn't say there wasn't talent. He's just pointing out that this isn't necessarily one of Pitt's most talented teams in the last 25 years. I would agree with that. That's not necessarily a slight and doesn't take away from the fact that Pitt is 6-0. Actually kind of highlights just how special this season has been.

Don't sugarcoat what he said.

"This Pitt team isn’t that talented." is a pretty damning statement.

Hard to say. They have one of the better QBs RBs and decent wr group on offense. Lbs are probably the best group in a long time. Decent DBs

I’ll wait to see how they play the rest of the year before I assess how talented they are relative to prior teams

One things for sure most didn’t think there was enough talent to win more than 3 games and certainly no one thought they had enough to be 6-0

So the talent level on this team has already been way underestimated

Pretty sure he was talking about talent in context of a team that's 6-0.
Again, I don't think that's what he meant at all.

Why are you defending him instead of letting him do it himself?

Hey, my follower is back!

I'm here all the time. The fact that you think that someone who has posted over 45,000 times on this message board is simply here to follow you shows just how delusional you are.

I know this is hard for you to believe, but the world (and this board) does not revolve around you.

I’m not saying this team lacks talent, especially at qb lb and in the defensive backfield. Wr is a pleasant surprise. But its hard to say it has a comparable level of talent as 2021 2009 or 2016.

But this team isn’t loaded with enough talent that you can sit here and say with confidence that they have so much overwhelming talent that they *should* undefeated. I’m happy that they won their first 6 but the cinci and wvu required insane finishes, unc could have easily swung out of our favor, and cal absolutely imploded on several occasions.

LOL. I never said nor implied such a thing. Don't overrate your presence in my world.

Clown.

Pitt has been on the opposite side of that coin countless times over the last 40 years. It feels good to win one of these games for a change.
This game felt like every win that the old ba$tard from out east used to win.
The other team would out pass, out rush, control the clock and then, in the last minute of the game, a bolt of lightning would come out of the sky and the kicker would miss a very make able field goal. (apologies to Carson Long).

Dude stop. It doesnt matter how they won the game. That fact is, they won all six. So now you and the rest cant use pitting, your resort to, insane finishes. You know what? They say good teams no how to finish a game.

I could cite his post word for word to express my thoughts about the talent level on this team as well. I don't see anything about that opinion that is insulting. Seems totally reasonable to me.

It kind of blows my mind that anyone can read something into it that somehow slights the current team. Regardless, everyone is thrilled to be 6-0. FWIW, the 1980 Pitt Panthers were 5-1 after 6 games. Factual statement, make whatever you want to out of it.

for the record, im really excited. like i got a semi all day excited.. not sure if i should put a call out to my physician or what.

The reality is the board has some posters who are probably Pitt fans but hate Narduzzi. They are extremely active when Pitt loses because it supports their opinions. When Pitt is 6-0, they just stay away rather than concede they are wrong.
The actual reality is the vast majority neither attend games nor donate .
But , if virtue signaling online anonymously paid the bills - pitt athletics would be in a better financial state .
