1. WVU lost to Maryland!! Maryland! LMAO. The Turtles! A team that couldn't win away from home if their grandma's life depended on it. Huggins looks absolutely miserable on the sidelines and no wonder why. He's stuck in the stinkrot hole in Morganblow making millions upon millions of $$$ and where do you spend it? At the Casino, sure? "Hey teller, put 50K on Dog #5 in the 5th race for me! What's his name, Santa's Little Helper?" Have fun in West Virginia Bobby, just keep your head on a swivel if you know what I mean. Thems peoples gots themselves plenty of barbed wire and brand new Rod Carew Louisville Sluggers for Christmas, a deadly combination.
2. On to the important stuff: Pitt wins as a lower seed!! Holy Shnickers!! Jamie couldn't do it for all of those years (well, 1 time against Colorado) so kudos to these guys. Listen, Iowa State looked like so shell shocked in this moment I don't know what to say. Having that one Dayton game on our belt surely helped but it wasn't like we were dynamite either. Guess what: Xavier looked like doggie doo doo too.
3. GDG - Diaz Graham, what can I say my friend. Have we EVER seen the growth of a freshman like this in a season like GDG. Ever? The guy looked like a lost puppu (a large breed of course) in December and now this? My lord. Kudos to the coaches who got him to look more than competent. Hell, I don't even mind when both twins are on the floor together. Capel has something here people and he best not screw it up for next year and beyond. Reminds me of Constantin Popa from Miami years back, a guy you look at and say 'No way he can play' then he dishes off 3 no look passes in a row.
4. Hinson - Clearly, CLEARLY there was some bad blood here between Blake and ISU. Did I hear the quote about him 'quitting' the team straight from the ISU coach in a clip? Hey, can somebody here get that coach a very nice Pitt XXXXXXXS size polo so he can squeeze every mm of those pecs into it nicely? Good job coach whatever the hell your name is.
5. Burton and Nelly - Controlled tempo throughout. Yes there were some turnovers but they held the pace. Iowa State's guys just went right along with it. Pretty clear who were the seniors on the floor and who were the Frosh. Good job guys.
6. Capel - Well done my friend. The team was ready to roll and yes, there were some major and I mean major lulls but when you're up 20-2 all you have to do the rest of the way is not lose by 19 points.
7. NET RANKINGS UPDATE: WVU 25, IOWA STATE 20 MISS STATE 49 PITT 67. Oh yeah, Purdue 5 and Farleigh Dickenson 1.5 Million

Did anyone think when seeing the Iowa State Coach on the sideline that you were watching a wrestling match?

Also, some of us could see what Guillermo could do back in November. The way he handled himself was definitely like a Euro pro. Perhaps the team was having a hard time catching up to him?
