Vader: Borderline 5 Star Stud Guard in 2020, and Wahab is

It’s was a joke. I know he’s not seriously considering all 24 of those schools. But if you don’t see the humor in what Vader wrote vs him tweeting out 24 schools then I don’t know what to tell you.
You do realize this is the Pitt hoops board? Our recent history is no laughing matter!

I love all the optimism in this thread, but I still look and see that Pitt is one of just 2 teams in the ACC (Notre Dame is the other) that have zero commitments for 2019.

That's not fair. Hoops recruiting, especially the high level guys, requires years of building relationships with individual players. So just hiring a new coach will put you far behind, unless your new coach can flip a commit from their previous school (almost impossible in this case since our coach is coming from Duke). Pitt is one of two coaches in the ACC with a new coach. It's special circumstances right now that need to be acknowledged.

What Capel pulled in last year with barely any time to recruit was remarkable- especially after seeing the talent level of the freshmen and Sidy.

I have zero concerns about him bringing in talent.

Just because it worked once doesn’t mean it’s going to work every time. The poster above is dead on regarding the role that relationships play in recruiting.

That would make sense if Capel didn't already elevate the recruiting at VCU, Oklahoma and Duke before he got here.

Not disagreeing with point of building relationships over years but I still have no doubt that the roster next year will be better than it currently is even with Sidy and Frame moving on.
