Volleyball vs BC drops a set

I honestly couldn't remember ever losing to BC, so I checked Pitt's media guide...interesting stat...Pitt is 39-1 all time against BC in volleyball (the highest winning percentage vs any ACC opponent) and 116-12 all time in sets won vs BC. For those mathematically inclined and astute observes, the first meeting was a 2-0 win in 1983. The sole loss was on the road 24 years ago in the 2000 season. Pitt has an active 20 match win streak vs the Eagles.

Side note, the Duquesne series is 43-5, the WVU series is 40-2, and the PSU series is closer than I would have guessed, 22-34.

BC was picked to finish 15th in the ACC this year. It didn't look that way in set 1. BC had 8 blocks and Pitt had 14 attack errors. The only reason the set was close was because Olivia Babcock had something like 5 aces and 5 kills. Dan Fisher was as animated and upset as I've ever seen him the whole match. Pitt came alive with a vengeance in sets 2 and 3. It was also a lousy game to actually watch. I swear BC plays in a renovated YMCA gym and the camera angle was terrible. Pitt plays Syracuse on Sunday at Syracuse. They are picked to finish last in the ACC. I doubt there will be a repeat of that set 1 loss to BC.

Camera was horrible as it didn't pan quickly enough and was too close to see all of the actions. Lots of missed shots because of that. It was odd to only hear one commentator but he was fine and did well.
