Watson on Browne

Not gonna happen, and it shouldn't happen.

By the way, what role or position outside of QB do you tnink Browne would be suited for? He's not exactly known for his athleticism.
Agreed, but TM most certainly is and could be a valuable weapon in specific situations. I would design several specific plays that utilize his ability to run or throw out of a split position. Just requires some imagination.

You never want to get your only backup QB and the future of your offfense hurt fooling around outside of his position. Google Drew Stanton/knee injury/John L. Smith for reference.

Max Browne is very highly rated and rivals has him as a 5 star consensus all pro QB. He got screwed over by college politics and thrown under the bus by his coach and USC alumni after a bad start by the team last year. Kid could have went anywhere in the country and likely gotten the starting WB spot at 110 programs in the country. Look at his rivals and scouts and 247 composite star rankings by the major taiene evaluators in the country. Fact is he chose Pitt. When we play at PSU he will be the best QB on the field. The kid is a stud. There are no guarantees in life but he is aw close to a grand slam as could have been had by CPN and staff. With him at the helm and our Rb corps we will be favored in 10 out of 12 games and will challenge for the coastal division. We have never had this fire power and star rankings all at once. Say what you want but stars matter and I sure as hell like having the top QB and top TE in the country.

Ha I will be shocked if they're as good as Peterman and Orndoff.

I get your concern, but I want to win football games now. That means you put your best talent on the field and you build your offense around the skill and athletes you have. Playing to avoid injuries never really works. I want TM to see real playing time this season to get his legs and learn the speed of the game. Need to have him on the field in something other than a mop up role as QB. The kids is a great athlete with real speed and moves and could be a game changer in a creative offense. Canada would have found a way to get him the ball and I just hope Watson is equally as creative. Think big and win

MacVittie might be a good athlete for a qb, but unless he can run routes & catch better than the receivers or run better than the running backs, he shouldn't be out there risking his health. He isn't a converted WR or something like Trevone Boykin, he isn't Braxton Miller..

If he's the starter at any point I'm fine with him running some option, if he gets split out wide for a double pass, fine i guess.. But he is likely the future of pitt's QB position, there is no reason to have him miss significant time because he's tall & can run a bit.. Aaron Matthews & Jester Weah & Rueben Flowers can handle that.

Agreed, it wouldn't be idiotic to split him out for anything save a trick play or two.
