MacVittie might be a good athlete for a qb, but unless he can run routes & catch better than the receivers or run better than the running backs, he shouldn't be out there risking his health. He isn't a converted WR or something like Trevone Boykin, he isn't Braxton Miller..
If he's the starter at any point I'm fine with him running some option, if he gets split out wide for a double pass, fine i guess.. But he is likely the future of pitt's QB position, there is no reason to have him miss significant time because he's tall & can run a bit.. Aaron Matthews & Jester Weah & Rueben Flowers can handle that.
