I would have to say between the head coach and the QB, Louisville is the whiniest team I have seen in quite a while.
You got that right.I would have to say between the head coach and the QB, Louisville is the whiniest team I have seen in quite a while.
That Devonshire pick six just seemed like bad luck. Pitt defender ran into the primary target while chasing someone else. Didn't think it should have been a penalty or anything. I did see Plummer complaining about it, though.
That’s funny. I thought the refs were trying to give the game to Louisville.I looked at their board I saw blaming refs from one guy … I saw another guy who dreamt up a conspiracy about the CW needing an upset to get viewers for this game…. I shit you not.
as well as the roughing the QB call on Kamara which coulda/shoulda also been no call.
You can play that game all day Joe. If you want to call that brush along his helmet a hit to the head go for it.Well, it "coulda" been a no call, but the rule is that if you hit the quarterback in the head it's a penalty, and he obviously hit the quarterback in the head (hard enough to hurt his hand), so it absolutely "shoulda" been a penalty. Because it was.
We can all disagree with the rule and think that the rule should be changed, but based on what is in the rule book today that was clearly a penalty.

Of course, the rules are never as clear cut as you’re making them out to be. If they were, the Ville QB would have immediately got called for a penalty for pushing the ref, even though we all know he was just demonstrating what the Pitt defender did.
the announcers thought it was weak. The only reason I called it a hit to the helmet is because it was, in fact, a hit to the helmet.
I mean he brushed him along the helmet hard enough that he hurt his hand and had to come out of the game.
That was, by the rule book, absolutely 100% a penalty.
Absolutely that’s why I found it so bizarreThat’s funny. I thought the refs were trying to give the game to Louisville.
Amen to that! Louisville fans have been a bunch of puffy chested wannabes since the days of the Big East. UCF fans are a bunch of idiots as well. Loved it when Pitt beat them to end their winning streak….Their QB was definitely a sour, whiner. Louisville fans are right up there with UCF fans on a side note.
To further make your point, the UNC/Miami game had 21 penalties accepted. The announcers made a comment at one point that "there is a penalty flag on every play". UNC had 14 penalties.Whitney coaches aside, I thought the refs interjected themselves into the game too much last night with the multiple borderline PI calls that could have easily been no calls, as well as the roughing the QB call on Kamara which coulda/shoulda also been no call.
I really don’t think he hurt his fingers because of it being a hard hit to the helmet. In any case, my main point is the rule book isn’t as clear cut as you keep trying to make it out to be. I think every game and every call or no call just emphasizes how much ref judgement and leeway there are in the calls. The only reason I called it a hit to the helmet is because it was, in fact, a hit to the helmet.

I don’t either. I thought maybe he bent a finger wrong on an ear hole or a shoulder-my-pad.I really don’t think he hurt his fingers because of it being a hard hit to the helmet.
