Where is it?/ Bellevue?Nope - it's been there for years. You should stop. Their chicken salad/cole slaw/potato salad are the best outside of homemade.

I'm curious. Is this as big of a thing outside of Western PA?
Ingomar. Right down from Ingomar Elementary and across the street from the KeyBank that was robbed yesterday (or attempted to rob). Most excitement in these parts in decades.Where is it?/ Bellevue?
None close to me. The one in Crammedberry is long gone. Iggle rules in the Yuppie Kingdom. We use Aldi & Trader Joe's, too. WalMart for everyday stuff. We do like Labriola's for lunch meat, bread, some prepared foods. There are a few stores open. They closed the one in Moon Twp, too much competition and people being stupid and paying Giant Iggles inflated prices and once Wal-Mart opened that was all she wrote.

NA territory. I need to update my vaccinations.. I never buy green bananas.....don't want to burden my heirs!!Ingomar. Right down from Ingomar Elementary and across the street from the KeyBank that was robbed yesterday (or attempted to rob). Most excitement in these parts in decades.
I think they do pretty well in the location. Much smaller than GE, but I like it because I can actually get in/out quickly. My only complaint (honestly), their bananas are way too green.
If you venture out to Trader Joe's, getting to Kuhn's shouldn't be a big deal. You exit off McKnight heading south and then straight down Ingomar Road. Kuhn's is on the left.None close to me. Was that a Shop & Save in the 80's?? I lived in Hunters Point 87-90, following my wealth confiscation in Divorce Court. Drove by it on Brandt School Rd. Ingomar's a nice little enclave. If you venture out to Trader Joe's, getting to Kuhn's shouldn't be a big deal. You exit off McKnight heading south and then straight down Ingomar Road. I'm male....no chance at all. Couldn't get full custody in liberal Allegheny County. Must be worse now that white males are all guilty.“Wealth Confiscation” is the Yuppie Way of saying you got “Screwed”.

Not a fish fry but the best local fish sandwiches near us in the North Hills are at Kuhn's in Ingomar.

Why do people try to rob banks.
One of our kids purchased a home in the North Hills.
They really like the area.
When they say Hills ( lots of hilly streets) they aren't kidding. Haha!
It's a nice location central to lots of places.

My buddy works for coca cola. He says that the majority of Kuhns markets are very dirty. Women will pay more for a nicer/cleaner atmosphere. I used to go to the one on Beulah Rd a lot for lunch when I landscaped in high school. Not bad, got the job done, but definately not fancy.

Mr Buffett's brother was wealth confiscated three times. Haha.
He leases or rents female friends now it's less expensive that way.
But we hear he may be making attempt # 4. Why bother?

Well, it's more prominent here than in eastern PA. Some try a gourmet approach, or do pierogis, haliska, etc.Not at all.
One might see a sign at a local KoC for a fish fry Fridays during Lent, but it's not like every Catholic Church has a weekly event, or restaurants advertising fish fry Fridays.
There are, however, lots of Black Churches that have warm weather fundraising in the parking lots of stores in my area, offering BBQ chicken, pork BBQ (eastern style) and fish plate lunches that have some very good food.
The fried fish is completely different, though. Instead of the thick Cod it's often Croakers or Spots.
excellent call. RJD, may he rest in peace. Well, in fairness, probably not....Holy Diver.
They race for the morning and they get their fish from the midnight sea.
Tons of Catholics here in metro Detroit, but the Lenten fish fry tradition here isn't as hard core as it is in Pittsburgh. Here, it's basically restricted to church fellowship halls, parish schools and K of C halls as opposed to bars and restaurants, and there is no fish sammich culture here at all.In area's that have a lot of Roman Catholics it is.
It could have been your multiple felony convictions.I'm male....no chance at all. Couldn't get full custody in liberal Allegheny County. Must be worse now that white males are all guilty.
My daddy was a bank robber
No, just a nasty Tri-Delt.It could have been your multiple felony convictions.
just sayin'........
But they're already big into fried fish up there with the Perch and stuff like that, so it may not be so unique.Tons of Catholics here in metro Detroit, but the Lenten fish fry tradition here isn't as hard core as it is in Pittsburgh. As a matter of fact, I have to go do my annual volunteer shifts at my daughters' parish school fish fry, after which fried fish is the last thing I want to eat. I end up smelling like it for a week.
Not really. You might be thinking of Wisconsin. But they're already big into fried fish up there with the Perch and stuff like that, so it may not be so unique.
No, I mean Michigan. But yeah, a lot of Lutherans and obviously Baptists. I am in Michigan at least once a month. Not really. You might be thinking of Wisconsin.
I suspect it has more to do with the fact that Pittsburgh has a more condensed and predominant Catholic community than the Detroit area does.
That is our parish but we've never tried their fish since they brought it in house. Is it good?lots of good options. This one is near my kids (Franklin Park/Sewickley address)

You can order online for pick-up or eat in.
Lots of good bars kick up the fish options during Lent too.
