I said in a thread last week that we needed to keep an eye on the Ivy League, which has been leaning toward moving the football season to the spring. Today, Nicole Auerbach and Bruce Feldman of The Athletic reports that the Ivy League is expected to announce such a move on Wednesday.
I know the Ivy League and the FBS conferences are worlds apart, but just like the Ivy League was the first to cancel its men's basketball tournament and the rest of the conferences followed, the Ivy's could be ahead of the curve here, too. We could see this decision expand to include the Patriot League and then work its way into the non-Power Five FBS conferences and eventually the Power Five.
Things change constantly, of course, but I think this is something to watch.
