I agree with the disparity comment. Rutgers, Md, and Illinois suck. I would argue though that Minnesota and Indiana are better than most think. They've hung with some really good teams.
Name a single objective metric in which 2016 Syracuse is worse than 2016 MSU.In all seriousness,I hope I'm not banned from this site. I enjoy the debate with the good Pitt fans (the ones who really know football). I think it's great that my Lions and the Panthers are winning A LOT!!! The back and forth about who's better is so much fun. For so long - we didn't have this fun. You guys are really on the rise! Narduzzi is a great coach. Maybe we differ on opinions (obviously) but that's why I enjoy visiting this site. FYI - Syracuse is so much worse than MSU (LOL).
If msu didnt have their qb like in the second half today i would think syracuse. Prob msu by a fg otherwise. If MSU and Syracuse played next week - what do you think the Vegas line would be? There is no chance in hell that Syracuse would be the favorite. Why??
According to Sagarin last week it would be MSU -10 on neutral field. If MSU and Syracuse played next week - what do you think the Vegas line would be? There is no chance in hell that Syracuse would be the favorite. Why??
I am surprised it would be that high as i would have suspected -3 or maybe a little higher. Without their qb like today in the second half though i think syracuse would be favored.According to Sagarin last week it would be MSU -10 on neutral field.
I am a pitt fan but i disagree about this year. U guys wouldnt be able to stop us and we would shut down barkley. Mcsorley would throw for a ton though and it would be a good game. We have a lot More injuries since earlier in the year though so it would be different For us. I think u guys will definitely handle us next year by a decent amount.PSU would beat Pitt by about two touchdowns on neutral site with the way they are playing second half of season. I think just about every non Pitt or PSU fan would agree with that
Also, PSU may hang 50 on Pitt next year in SC. 1 senior leaves on offense.
Ridiculous to make that statement since Pitt beat Clemson in Clemson, blew out Duke and took care of business today as well (not pretty, but still). That's pretty good too, the Miami fiasco aside.PSU would beat Pitt by about two touchdowns on neutral site with the way they are playing second half of season. I think just about every non Pitt or PSU fan would agree with that

While I wouldn't necessarily disagree about next season, Pitt is about equal to PSU this season. Their offense is no-joke top 10 in the nation.PSU would beat Pitt by about two touchdowns on neutral site with the way they are playing second half of season. PSU is a very good Big Ten team. But you guys act as though it's a sign of conference strength when teams in the same conference keep knocking-off each other -- when in reality, it's merely a sign of conference parity (or mediocrity) when one team fails to separate itself from the rest of the bunch.#2 OSU
#3 Mich
#6 Wisc
#7 PSU
#16 Neb (loss to Iowa today)
Vs.
#4 Clem
#11 Louisville (lost to Kentucky!)
Sure..... big ten sucks
Come on guys, PSU is good. Well coached and has come a long way since the beginning of the year. Congrats on beating us in Sept., but give credit where it's due. PSU is a very good team
In a neutral field, it would be close to a pick em.If MSU and Syracuse played next week - what do you think the Vegas line would be? There is no chance in hell that Syracuse would be the favorite. Why??
It is what it is. There's a couple big ten east softies that pad the better teams numbers. But I don't think iowa, minn and NW are just rollovers.
And this is true for every team, but you don't Schedule this stuff. You play what's in front of you. And it's for that reason that I think Pitt fans aren't giving PSU enough credit. They've adjusted at half time extremely well and have done what's asked of them.
No doubt though, I'd love to play you guys again now. We can at least agree that would be fun
Exactly. I think it's pretty obvious PSU had a favorable schedule, but not by choice. So it is what it is.It is what it is. There's a couple big ten east softies that pad the better teams numbers. But I don't think iowa, minn and NW are just rollovers.

Barkely is hurt and PSU best two OT are injured.Exactly. I think it's pretty obvious PSU had a favorable schedule, but not by choice. So it is what it is.
I think PSU offense is top 10, Pitt's is no doubt better though probably top 5 just to mention an above post.
For the record though I think PSU is gonna be favored next week. Maybe Wisconsin can run on them, but I don't think you could call their QB situation anything less than questionable. Despite what I or others think about PSU's actual resume this season, I'll be pretty surprised if Wisconsin beats them. I definitely want Wisconsin to win, I just don't think they will.
That schedule? how many bowl eligible teams did Pitt beat vs Penn State? Penn State beat 6. Weak schedule?I actually like how we match up against mich and osu. Neither team passes well. Wiscy is a run team first as well. And we beat pedo st.
Credit pedo st for handling their business, but i think we would too with that schedule.
Florida State is ranked in the Top 15 as well. VT and Pitt will likely be ranked this week too. B1G is definitely stronger at the top. ACC has great depth though.#2 OSU

Wisconsin has a quality win v. Nebraska and another v. LSU. But, yeah, bit inflated. Still, very, very good team.Let's face it Wisconsin isn't good either, they are rated highly because they edged LSU at the start of the year.
They have a true freshman QB who has horrible numbers. If peterman had those numbers you guys would be literally lynching him. They have no passing attack
I have no doubt Pitt would beat Wisconsin this year.
You are dumb. Pitt beat Clemson in Death Valley. You are lucky Pitt let up on PS. The first half score should have been 35-7.PSU would beat Pitt by about two touchdowns on neutral site with the way they are playing second half of season. I think just about every non Pitt or PSU fan would agree with that

-You cannot sell me on an sos ranking that has Miami ranked in the top 15 when they played one of the biggest non conference joke schedules in the country. If Pitt lined up its schedule right next to Penn State or Miami, anyone that isn't biased would know Pitts was far harder. So I'll start. Its very possible Pitt played the acc, big ten, big 12, and acc coastal champion all during the regular season. Penn State played none of the above. And for the record, if Penn State beats Wisconsin. They get in over Ohio state. Even homer Ohio herbstreit said that yesterday. That schedule? how many bowl eligible teams did Pitt beat vs Penn State? Penn State beat 6. Weak schedule?

I know reality sucks, but what conference has 4 10 win teams? The BIG, everyone else, 2 at most. To think that the BIG sucks is utter nonsense, and no analyst agrees with that, not one. Nor would any coach say that. Go find one.
I don't know why it is so hard to give credit where it is due. Pitt has had a fine year as has Penn State. There's a big difference in the way the year played out however. Pitt's offense got better, its D did not. Penn State's offense and especially defense got much better.
Yes. Ped st had most tough games at home. Also didnt have any competitive back to back games. They had a very favorable schedule. Pitt would have same record or better with that schedule. That schedule? how many bowl eligible teams did Pitt beat vs Penn State? Penn State beat 6. Weak schedule?

Answer my question. Pitt's D is ranked 99 before yesterday. Like usual, all you do is spew, and bring no facts to the table. Please list the quality road victory for the fighting Peds?
No question Pitt's pass D is an embarrassment. Would be a hell of a game though... Just like the match up earlier this season.Answer my question. Pitt's D is ranked 99 before yesterday. Loke usual, all you do is spew, and bring no facts to the table.
No, you probably have your most talented team. All i hear is excuses. Like we didn't have a ton of change and injuries that decimated the team at O line, and linebacker. Blaming refs, your coach, who many wanted gone, as well as Connor on the bench. SMH. Football is a 60 minute game, just ask OSU. We had a blown play in the end zone or we probably win. You couldn't stop us. It didn't happen, oh well. I don't need to blame refs or make excuses. If you don't believe that, go back and look at the board and game thread. We lost the game, and moved on. We also got much better on offense and defense. This is the equivalent of beer muscles.
Pitt played 2, count'em 2 kids with at least 5 offers from P5 schools on that defense and had whole litany of injuries for that game. The offense was also figuring things out and James Conner wasn't anything health wise as he is today.
The turnovers and bad penalties that allowed PedSt to hang around in the 2nd half isn't characteristic of this team (not to mention the poor ref performance). PN also figured out that taking the foot off of the offense doesn't work with this team.
That was the least talented Pitt team you are going to see over the scheduled 4 games and PedSt still lost.
