Pitt Legacy Corner

I wasn't aware of this so just sharing..........

Here's a couple of 2025 cornerbacks with Pitt/Local ties.

Hank Poteat's Son - Tre Poteat - Rival Four Star 2025

Ike Taylor's son - Ivan Taylor - 247Sports No. 1 CB in 2025
"Taylor is the son of Pittsburgh Steelers great and Super Bowl champion Ike Taylor, so with that he was born in the Steel City and has great familiarity with Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers program.

“I really like Pitt,” Taylor said. “I was born there. It feels like home. The city is small, I don’t like bit cities, it’s nice. It’s welcoming. (Narduzzi) has definitely made the program so much better. Top 10 defense every year. That has to tell you something.”

As a sophomore Taylor registered 65 tackles with five stops for loss, three interceptions and eight more pass breakups."

Colorado - LOL

If I was a recruit and watched this I’d cross them off the list immediately

How can anyone take this serioisly

Looks like they are playing Simon Says lol

This kind of stuff could work at Jackson St where those kids don’t have a bunch of hier tier options and looked at Deion as their savior - will be interesting to see how it works with kids with legit blue blood offers who can go anywhere

Once again I hope it fails miserably

Don't know the latest on Damar Hamlin's status but...

I hope that he is well enough to attend the Bengals-Bills game today.
If he is healthy enough to be there, he should be the person out there for the opening toss. He doesn't have to walk out there, but his presence on the field would mean so much to so many people.
Not only for the Bills players, but the Bengals players, the medical staff/EMS of both organizations, the fans in attendance and to hose of us fans around the world.
He may bot have wanted it but Damar Hamlin's biggest accomplishment will be the impact that his situation has had around the world for sudden cardiac arrest patients, their families and the medical staff treating them.

OT: Super human strength

I know this is bball related but Im posting here because it’s about strength. It’s crazy to me how some human beings just possess a crazy internal physical strength that no amount of lifting can give you.

Watch Steven Adams here: this dude allows people to live because he chooses to be nice. It’s ridiculous how strong he is without even trying.

So here’s my question: what examples of humans have you run into in your personal life that are just ridiculously naturally athletically talented?

1 of the worst games by a Pitt point guard I can ever remember

Yeah I'll say it, this loss is on Nelly Cummings. He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn but kept shooting 3 after 3. Selifish beyond belief.

Turnovers and offensive fouls and horrible shooting. Again just plain selfish as hell. Disgraceful actually.

Of course the fact that Elliott couldn't make a 3 after draining a couple early was part of this loss, as well as a bad game from Nike. But the fact remains the team and Capel allowed Cummings to continue to chuck up 3 after 3 when it needed to stop. I would say he even needed to be benched he was so damn awful.

As much as I thought Pitt was heading toward a lock to make the NCAA Tournament, this loss changes things significantly. A quad 4 loss at home is devastating for our chances.

And with the yearly Capel collapse worry I'm sure a lot of us have, I don't know what to think now. All I know is I am super depressed. Awful awful loss.

Saudi Arabia

Bought WWE

I love this. I hope they keep on buying all the sports/sports entertainment companies. Golf, wrestling, hopefully soccer. Maybe they'll buy the NBA next.

Speaking of Saudi Arabia, they strangely paid enough money for PSG to come to Riyadh to play a combine team of Al Nasr and Al Hilal for Ronaldo's debut. They aint messing around.

Net went from 50 to 65

Not a killer and FSU went up to 187. A few more good wins by them and they won’t be a quad 4 loss.

Wake is a super important game, because they are another bubble team with a similar resume. We need to beat them or we fall below them in the pecking order.

Yesterday was a tough loss, but all is not lost yet and it is important to see how we respond. The next 3 games will likely determine our post season fate.
