Dems and peaceful protest

Democrats showing their true colors fire bombing and shooting up tesla dealerships, but, it is all just peaceful protest! Lol. Musk went from hero to zero in their eyes. Representative Kelly even called him an asshole. Then he traded in his electric tesla for a gasoline hog chevy Tahoe. I guess climate change is a hoax. These guys double down on stupid by the day.

Running back no longer with the program

Here Karl has a story about Che Nwabuko no longer being with the program:

A Pitt running back is no longer with the program.

The one notable absence on the Pitt spring roster was Che Nwabuko, and the university confirmed Tuesday that he is no longer on the roster.

Nwabuko — a 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back from Austin, Tx. — made the switch to running back last season after spending his first two seasons with the program as a wide receiver.

He played in seven games as a reserve running back last season, scoring his first career touchdown on a 57-yard rush against Youngstown State. But an injury forced him to miss time at the end of the season.

Nwabuko arrived in Pittsburgh as a three-star recruit in the class of 2022, choosing the Panthers over a handful of Power Four programs. He was an electric wideout at Manor High and turned a standout track career into a spot on the team at Pitt.

He’s been the biggest two-sport athlete at Pitt in recent years.

He finishes his Pitt career with nine carries for 98 yards and a touchdown, two receptions for 15 yards and two kickoff returns for 21 yards. He competed in five indoor meets with the track & field team in 2022-23 and two more in 2023-24. He set a personal best in the 60-meter with a 6.71 and in the 200-meter at the ACC Championships with a 21.08.

Pitt is returning All-American Desmond Reid at running back, with Juelz Goff, Derrick Davis Jr. (who suffered a nasty injury at the end of last season) and early enrollee Ja'Kyrian Turner in the mix. Synkwan Smith and Jaylin Brown will arrive this summer.

Prediction on Elon

I suspect that some time this summer President Trump will announce that Elon is going back to the private sector after “doing an amazing job with …”.

Turning over the cuts within each department back to the Secretaries and specifically saying “scalpel” indicates to me that even in DJT’s eyes Elon overstepped.

Having worked in the Federal system I didn’t have as much of a problem with what he was trying to do than maybe others did. I too often had been involved in the effort to cut the budget by ten percent and saw upper management just deflect until they didn’t need to do anything.

Easter is saved

In spite of the unnecessary killing of millions of chickens last year, and the mismanagement of the food and supply chain, looks like Easter will be saved afterall.

The USDA reported that the average wholesale price for a dozen eggs has plummeted to $4.15—marking a dramatic $2.70 decline from just a week ago. At the end of last month, prices had soared to over $8 per dozen, forcing many consumers to cut back on a staple in the refrigerator. However, as demand dipped and supply chain conditions improved, costs started to stabilize.

I know this is bad news for a few of you. I’m sorry to share it with you and hope you’ll be ok.

I want to thank you for your patience through this transition

Our team at Rivals along with Paul and the Pitt Sports News staff are going to be giving a free month to all active subscribers to say thank you for your patience and make up for the few days here in between publishers. More details on that below.

I did hear your concerns through the transition about not being able to answer all questions that were asked. There were contractual restrictions that dictated what and when we could share in some instances, but I will take responsibility for the transition to Pitt Sports News not happening immediately on March 1. That was our intention, but there were hurdles that we had not cleared in time to get that done right away. As I said last week, though, our priority here is to bring you elite coverage of Pitt athletics and give you a community to discuss your favorite team, cheer them on, celebrate (sometimes commiserate) and share the latest news and information. Paul's connections to the program are unmatched and Karl is an up and coming voice in this market who brings a tremendous work ethic. I am extremely excited for the future of this site!

Here is how the free month will be applied to your account: First, your account must currently be active. An account cannot be edited if it is in a cancelling state, even if your subscription runs through later in the year. Our engineers will not be applying the free month to accounts until Monday, so if you recently cancelled you have through the weekend to take your account out of a cancelled state (you can still cancel in the future, but have to be active when the free month is applied). If you are an annual subscriber, the free month will extend your current year one month. For instance, if your subscription renews in September, it would now not renew until October. If you are a monthly subscriber, this will apply to your next month.

Thank you for your continued contributions and presence on this site, and we look forward to the future of Pitt Sports News here at Rivals!
