no one if forgetting they were just not part of the hypothetical as the other teams listed (ND and Clemson) would have beaten them before the scenario kicked in. .Amazing how people are forgetting about Miami.

uh, no they could not have played ND's schedule as they are in a conference. the only things UW has to blame is the suckiness that is the Big 10 West and not playing just one difficult ooc game....UW has no one to blame but themselves. They could have played ND's schedule and proven to be a top team, instead they played nobody and now they run the risk of being the 5th team in a 4 team playoff, or worse getting destroyed on national TV by the SEC champion.
They could have scheduled better nonconference opponents.uh, no they could not have played ND's schedule as they are in a conference. the only things UW has to blame is the suckiness that is the Big 10 West and not playing just one difficult ooc game....
Is this serious?None of the 4 teams you listed have anything to worry about from Wiscy. I just looked up their schedule. Wow! UCF has a better resume.
Also, you mentioned they would squeak by OSU. We all know the fix will be in. Whoever they play in Indy is going to get beaten by 40-plus. I think they rig it so PSU is the hapless victim. They wouldn't do that to OSU or Mich.
The suckiness of the B1G West is the reason their program has been successful. Otherwise they would be a barely top 25 team all these years and maybe not even that.uh, no they could not have played ND's schedule as they are in a conference. the only things UW has to blame is the suckiness that is the Big 10 West and not playing just one difficult ooc game....
The Big 10 had to set things up the way they did because they couldn't split OSU, or MSU from Michigan. The only alternative would be to go non geographical, and take PSU away from OSU, and UM.This whole discussion of Wisky’s weak schedule, it is pretty munch the B10’s fault. What were they thinking when they divided up the schools into those 2 divisions. Literally every school with a strong FB track record is on one side. On Wisky’s side you have Iowa with a decent tradition, Nebraska and then no one else. That side is really hurting because of the decline of Nebraska.
You know the West is weak, you have a 9 game schedule, so that means 3 crossover games, right?
They could have scheduled better nonconference opponents.
I would have thought they could have kept Mich and MSU together but moved OSU, keeping OSU and Mich as a permanent crossover game at end of the season. But maybe they didn’t like the idea of it leading to OSU and Mich playing 2 weeks in a row reinforcing the idea of the Big 2 and little everyone else. The Big 10 had to set things up the way they did because they couldn't split OSU, or MSU from Michigan. Yep, their OOC scheduling practice hasn’t been much different than anybody else. Although not top notch, BYU would normally be a decent OOC opponent. The last 2 years their one tough OOC opponent has been Alabama and LSU.Not exactly. They have one "rival" crossover, and two games that rotate. (Don't know who their rival is).
BYU was a good opponent when the games were scheduled.
The weak OOC is a problem, but was scheduled a few years ago. Since there are just 2 good teams in the B10 west, their whole SOS looks bad. But that doesn't mean THEY are bad. Taylor is really good, and their OL has the same DNA as all the Wisky teams since Alvarez. Earthmovers. They may end up vs. a flawed Big10 East foe in their champ game. Anything is possible. PSU's OOC isn't much, either. It is their fault. You know the West is weak, you have a 9 game schedule, so that means 3 crossover games, right? So somehow they avoided PSU, tOSU and MSU. They got Michigan in a down year. Same time, they scheduled no one OOC.
If they go 13-0, they are in. I think they'll lose to Iowa or Michigan and then lose the B1G title game too.
He may be boring....but he understands offense pretty well. We beat the national champs last year with HIS kids, so he wasn't as bad a recruiter as people think. Maybe you'd rather have a showbiz-type, like Fleck???There is no chance they go 13-0. They will lose to either Iowa, Michigan, or the B10 title game. Penn State exposed their supposed excellent defense last year when they couldn't hold onto a 28-7 lead. Chryst had that deer in the headlights look we were accustomed to seeing when he was here.
Chryst is a putz and I hold him in about the same regard as Graham. Not sure why he gets any love on this board.

Cheap shot?? Sweet......age won't ever make me that loathsome. Grow up, little man.I know age is catching up but Peterman, Biz, Price, Jarrett etc weren't Chryst's recruits. Pitt doesn't win 6 games with Chryst's QBs.
