When Pitt hired Stallings, we were upset it was a retread and not someone up and coming. When we hire the AD, we are upset that they aren't a retread?

I have no idea how she is going to do, but I at least like the fact it wasn't the "same ole" hire. I hope she can raise money and unite the fan base. Well, at least the fan base that hasn't alienated itself from the hire. Time will tell, we shall see and all that happy stuff.

Now get out there and donate some money!

She needs to make a splash early to get donations rolling in. Firing Stallings or announcing a new stadium would get me to write a check

I can't take credit and sorry I can't recall who posted, but likely unintentionally, Pitt leveraged the (numerical at least) sexism in sports AD to advantage. If we had limited ourselves to the conventional immaculately coiffed Caucasian AD candidates, like most others still do (numerically at least), we weren't going to get cream of the crop.

By expanding the pool (whether or not there was an actual objective to diversify), I think Pitt got access to someone with better on-paper qualifications than we were likely going to.

Several years as assistant at a blue blood where the importance and potential of winning sports is proven ... then, practical top role experience at a place that is surrounded by bigger fish and struggles for attention and funding ... on paper these are really good credentials for a Pitt AD.

The simple answer to your question is OP is that the people who post here represent the worst fan base in th world, or at least the oart they make up is the worst fan base in the world/

Stallings, three years at the earliest. Hope for Pitt's sake we do not have to. Our current stadium situation will remain for many reasons.
