Generally, you need to make 3s vs the zone and this is not a good shooting team.

You also need to kill them on the offensive glass because its tough to rebound out of the zone. This is not a good offensive rebounding team.

Need to be able to penetrate the zone and create layups for the bigs. This team has some guys who can pentrate but nobody they can drop it off too.

I would do 2 things in the 2nd Half:

1. Put McGowens at the foul line and see if he can drive the lane and get fouled.

2. Just chuck up 3s. We arent getting anything in the paint. Might as well shoot early 3s to get more possessions.

Also helps to have a guy be able to shoot in the middle of it and it looks like Ellison doesn’t have the confidence to even catch the ball right now

You need mainly one thing. A guy in the middle like Jaron or Nas to catch the hall in the middle of the zone and attack or draw and dish to Brown.

If nothing else, it would be helpful to even MISS some foul line jumpers because at least it would keep Chukwa honest and make him actually move instead of standing under the basket. We did everything wrong on O. Looks like Shawn Watson took over.

I agree with #2, our best chance against them is Frame just going off.

I don’t really get the newfound pessimism with this team. It’s an 0-18 ACC roster plus two guys who should be HS seniors and Xavier.

We have no margin for error, so when Trey isn’t good and Toney is banged up, we just won’t win.
