Franklin and all Penn State Coaches now are under the Athletic Integrity Compliance Reforms Policies and Procedures and could not be hired without Athletic Integrity Officer and Direc6tor of Ethics Approval. It is not like it was under Paterno-Sandusky Era!
It is funny but some Penn state Fans still think the Big Ten is going to put Paterno;'s Name on the Big Ten Trophy after it was removed but what they don't know is the Big Ten did not reduce their sanctions like the NCAA. They Big Ten Vacated PSU Conference Wins and removed 2 of them. It is sad, but they did create some Fans that still have no clue and think Winning justified everything and now back in the Top 10 thinks everything is fine again.
However, it was the Penn State 2012 Athletic Integrity Compliance Reforms that have 116 Compliance Policies, Procedures and conditions to never have One Person control or be bigger than the Athletics & University again.
There are Pitt Posters married to PSU Alumni and Fans too. One can't lump them all together if they want to be fair. WVU too, has some great Boosters and People and enjoy competing but not trashing Pitt!
Pitt biggest trashing has been prior People they appointed that did not always maintain the right policies, plans,and agenda for Pitt, but took care of themselves over Pitt. I have every bit of confidence Pitt will return to Top 25 Winning and part of that is to stay competitive with WVU & PSU too. But I leave that to Pitt!
I by no means enjoy losing to PSU or WVU but I don't blame or hate them if they beat Pitt so long as they respect Pitt, and I blame Pitt if they lose to WVU or PSU or Others!

There was no coverup. Every player involved was suspended or kicked off the team and never played another down at Vandy.
He lied to his team about seeing the video. Big deal. Neither the DA or victim feels Franklin did anything wrong. Franklin was fully cooperative with the investigation if you want to believe the Metro PD and officials at Vandy (who first uncovered & reported the incident)

It's one thing to state an opinion. It's an entirely different thing to make blanket statements with zero proof. It's that mentality, that allows folks like Rolling Stone and DA's Mike Nifong to lie and ruin people's lives. It's wrong on all levels.

DA Tom Thurman, there is no evidence James Franklin did anything wrong, he cooperated fully with authorities. My life is fantastic. I don't get pleasure demeaning others. I also don't make stuff up. I guess the authorities are wrong as well. Funny, they were immediately off the team, and fully prosecuted. Franklin was also offered big bucks to stay, and fully vetted by non other than George Mitchell. Nice try.
