I usually don't like the zone, but it can be very effective against a team that can't shoot. So far all of Miami's jumpers have looked awful.

Yeah, but if you play zone you can't just let the opponent dribble the ball right into the middle of it.

Exactly. The guards are breaking it down fairly easily but Miami has chucked up some bricks.

I'm guessing maybe they had to not think Maia was fouled, and maybe the call was gonna be on the kid against Luther? Otherwise yeah, totally got that wrong.

You're not kidding. I've been moaning about that, as have others, for weeks. He got away with it more during cupcake season but not any more.

That was a pretty bad defensive possession there, but overall to me it looks like these guys are hustling a lot more when in this zone defense.
