-This. Biggest surprise thus far. We aren't getting pressure with our dline. We will continue to get burnt without pressure.I am surprised we have no pass rush. Ok St is manhandling us.

If Hamlin were healthy I don't think there's any question that he'd be playing right now. Whether he would've the first two weeks or not, he'd most definitely be in at this point in today's game. It's a shame all those highly recruited freshman DB's are not good enough to play. Gundy made very good use of watching game film on us.
LOL... I suspect that it is harder than you think, especially in man to man coverage. You turn your head for a split second in the middle of a double move against receivers with 4.3 speed then you are burnt easily for a touchdown. The receiver knows when and where the ball is going. The DB does not. He has to read the receiver's hips and hands.
At some point you have to know where the ball is, however. You have to turn your head and find the football or you will either get beat every time or pass interference will be called on you more times than not
Who recruited this bum? I was even looking at the "rankings" for next years recruits and most are 3 stars. Not gonna get to the next level with mostly average talent.Maddox again...
Giving up 3rd and forever is our specialty on D
Exactly. Hard to cover 5 receivers for 5 or more seconds. Terrible job of creating pressure on the QB.DL stinking it up just as bad as the DBs so far

Sure. But that is why people who can do this consistently are paid millions of dollars a year. Freshman abs Sophomore are typically not very good in this type of defense that Narduzzi runs.
Also the QB usually has to be pretty good and the offensive line giving good protection to get those balls down field in the right place over fast corners.
He needs to trust the receivers. While they won't win the game for PITT, they can certainly open up some space for the run game. Air it out to Weah and Matthews and see if you can get a PI called.Canada is an idiot
I disagree, if you aren't able to play the ball as a cornerback in HIGH SCHOOL why would a Division 1 school give you a full scholarship to play the position in college?
High School??? All these kids were great in high school. Most of these guys could run over through and speed past MOST other high school talent. High school has nothing to do with this.
to get recruited as a cornerback at a major Division 1 school you would think you would have to show the ability to play the ball on fly routes run by wide receivers.
