I just don't know how you can play the position without knowing where the ball is. It just seems ridiculous.
It wasn't clear either way. His elbow went down and at the same time the ball was right at the white line. That's a touchdown. Wouldn't have got overturned if they called him short, but that was 100% a TD. Regardless, those were 4 awful play calls.
Maddox's problem on the first td was that he assumed that Whitehead was going to play the defense that was called and be right in the deep middle of the field where the ball went instead of getting suckered in and abandoning the deep middle.
Too close to overturn. Had it not been called a TD initially, it would have stood. I wouldn't say the refs have played a part in benefitting either team with calls. So far they've been pretty solid.
Haha it gets old but will usually work, so I agree and disagree. Just in today's game OK St. A) has as bad as a pass defense as we will ever go against and B) are ready for a run every single play. It's nonsense to keep trying to play to your strengths and not change how you play to exploit their weakness.
That was the most disgusting effort I've ever seen. But at first glance it looked like Whitehead was getting held really bad just as the runner got to where he was. Ridiculous non-call.

Simply awful. Whitehead looked like he was running in sand. Lewis with a terrible job of containing on the outside.
Lewis slow and terrible technique. Whitehead was held for literally 5 whole seconds though and it's not even debatable.
One minute out on the field going against the guys they are going against and I'm positive that it would be clear to you.
On second glance, absolutely. +1 to OSU on the terrible calls by the refs.
this about what we figured dbs do not have the stuff to keep up with these two wideouts but the O is not that bad Peterman screwed up two drives or it might be a one score game

Canada sucks, he almost cost us the Ped State game. He was fired from NC State for a reason. Peterman is also garbage.
Whitehead was held, but if they would have called it they would have gotten a touchdown a few plays later anyway.

I always thought you are supposed to watch the receivers eyes, when he looks back for the ball you then find the ball
Oh who even cares at this point. None of our guys on defense are good except Whitehead and against explosive offenses we will get torched every game. Want that to change? Get 4 and 5 star guys to play here, not mostly 3 star.
Going to give up 50 plus and over 800 yards offense today, but on the bright side it's not a conference game and I don't know about anyone else but I just had a poor feeling about this match up today.
