We need a sharp young Group of Five coach who has proven he can win and RECRUIT!

Why would he come here? App St has won 30 games - 2 Conference Championships & 3 Bowl Games the last 3 yearsThat would be a good hire.

Money!
The city of Pittsburgh!
Exposure !
Chance to do well in a D1/P5 program and have the option to stay or leave to another P1/P5 program!
Lyke should be exploring options at this time!
If Narduzzi goes 5-7 hes gone, if he goes 6-6 with a bowl win he stays!
PITTWhat is a better fit for the coach at Appalachian State?
APPALACHIAN State......
North Carolina??? Which is almost certain to be open,
Or Pitt?
Thanks for playing.
Jason Candle, Toledo's HC. Let's see how he does against Miami this week first, though.
It seems to me that a win this week puts him on some lists.

While we’re comparing coaches from those 2 teams App St shut out Candle’s Toledo offense 34-0 in the bowl game last season.
Because Pitt is a P5 team in a P5 conference. Their division does not have a Clemson or Bama in it. Winning a P5 Conference title is way better than winning a G5 conference. Why would he come here? App St has won 30 games - 2 Conference Championships & 3 Bowl Games the last 3 years
I think you missed the point of the question. The question was what makes more sense for the App State coach, and the answer is not Pitt.PITT
If he knows how to coach which would be a new concept at PITT.
A football coach who can actually coach football!
Agreed. So because App state took PSU to overtime you guys want to hire the coach now? Seems shortsighted
Oh good Lord. Here we go with the "How about (INSERT NAME HERE)" posts.
I really have to question narduzzi after Saturday, that was epic levels of humiliation that should never come close to happening. But this post is spot on.Of any coach in the past 30 years, Narduzzi has the most wins at Pitt over the course of his first three seasons. The reason that everyone on this message board is not making the decisions is because of the hastiness in these reactions. This job is not easy. Plain and simple. It is difficult to recruit at Pitt. Does this mean that Narduzzi gets a pass? No. But the entire program needs to be evaluated because this job is not plug and play. We aren't going to get a new coach and win. Many improvements need to be made to the program as a whole. That starts with funding. Pitt is at the bottom of the conference in annual donations. We are not going to compete at a high level at this stage. It's not just on Narduzzi.
