PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh men’s basketball team will play three games during its tour of Italy Aug. 5-14. The 10-day, eight-night trip will feature stops in Rome, Florence, Bologna, Vicenza, and Venice.

The Panthers will depart Pittsburgh Monday, Aug. 5 and spend three days in Rome with guided tours of the Colosseum, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon.

Pitt will play its first game of the trip Thursday, Aug. 8 against the Netherlands National B Team at Palafonte Rome Europe at 1 p.m. ET. In-game updates, photos and highlights will be available via Twitter (@Pitt_MBB) with full recaps and extended highlights following the game at PittsburghPanthers.com.

The team and travel party will explore Duomo, Gates of Paradise, Ponte Vecchio, Mercato Centrale food market and San Lorenzo leather market in Florence Friday, Aug. 9, before playing the Florence All-Stars at Palamacchia in Livorno, Italy Saturday, Aug. 10. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. ET.

Pitt will head to Venice Sunday, Aug. 11 with a stop in Bologna for a walking culinary tour of the city. The Panthers will tour Venice the following morning before traveling to Vicenza to play the Vicenza All-Stars at 2 pm ET at Palazetto dello Sport

The travel party will have a free day to explore the city of Venice before returning to Pittsburgh Wednesday, Aug. 14.
