I agree about Capel, he sucks but I don't agree that West would have been a nice addition and a good first piece in the portal.

I give full credit to people who get inside info and divulge it, especially in a medium like this. Recruiting is as fluid as it gets and the story on Monday may be the total opposite 24 hours later. It takes stones to put info out there when it comes to recruiting as there’s always a risk that the landscape shifts. Be thankful for the few who do have an inside view and roll with the punches.

It would be nice to get him but you’re reaching connection anything with Reid. West isn’t gonna move any needles but he’d likely have helped generally.

Louisville stepped up for a reason. West is a good piece. Not a Jaron Brown per say, but you get the gist.
He was depth, maturity and leadership something we sorely need.
This is exactly why I take everything with a grain of salt until the kid announces. And even then, until that paper is signed, nothing is final.

Odukale, Horton, and Sibande will consume quite a few of the 80 minutes between the 1 and 2 positions. 2 more guards would be nice.

Yeah would’ve been nice to break the dam down with a solid piece but he’s not a game changer. Would’ve helped with the perception/ momentum of the program though.
I generally stay away from “perception” issues but in this case it may apply. He was Pitt bound until he wasn’t - and only about 24 hours away from the announcement.

I said about 10 times in my prior post history Louisville was coming hard after him and he was very serious with Louisville. The timestamps are available going past the entire last week. I even said Louisville was arguably leading days ago. It was my own fault for trusting bballinsider. I said the same thing with North Carolina and I warned about RJ Davis going there and Williams coming after him hard when Williams flew into NY. I also said it with Wahab the first time around when everyone said he was a Pitt lock except me, all timestamped.
