This made me lol. Our expert optimist said 10, our expert pessimist said 8 and claims victory because he was .1 closer.
I said 8 PPG because our Head Coach said he was the best scorer in the ACC to distract from a second straight last place finish. I said then and now it was ludicrous. He’s getting recruited over. He won’t start next year and fell off a cliff without XJ. He’s gonna be a hit or miss guy off the bench because his defense is so bad and he’s a 1 trick pony. It was everything I said he was.

I cant believe this discussion is even taking place to be honest. He's got a firm offer from Louisville and people are complaining about beating Louisville for a player when there are 1100 players to choose from in the portal. We aren't talking about beating Robert Morris here, we are talking about Louisville. Chris Mack spoke to the kid and offered the kid and Pegues also spoke to him. I reported this a week ago. Heck, Jody Demling reported it. He's been a lead analyst for Louisville for over 20 years.
This team needs leadership and discipline. We don't need another ball hog turnover machine that gives the other team free points in the transition game and is a team cancer in the locker room. The fact that West was a 2 time all conference selection on defense is something that we need. West is 4th in the entire country in all of D1 in total steals as a player. He's collected 254 total steals in his career. Even with his height limitations, he is a big upgrade on defense and has shown the ability, over the course of a 4 year career, he can shoot. The only area where he is below average for where he should be on shooting is free throws. He shot the midrange at 46% and the 3's at 41%. Its a solid addition, one that we need.

The only reason I think he's going to Pitt is because I trust your word a little. If not for that, I'd say I'd be absolutely stunned if he picked Pitt over Loui$ville and O$U

I watched most games of the tournament and I saw a lot of guys transfer from lesser programs than Marshall who made an impact.

I can't follow a thread without SMF's posts, he initiates half the conversation. And I'd miss the entertainment.
Read my posts when Pitt was 4-1 and 8-2 overall. I was as positive as ever. I was counting spots in the polls to see when Pitt could hit the top 25!!

Dude you are missing the point. We land West, get some momentum, perhaps Reid commits and/or we get some other kids in the portal and then Champ stays. Then we have a pretty darn good team. Good grief you make me sound like I am Tony Robbins.

Reid coming to Pitt has nothing to do with West or momentum. Plus no way in heck he's coming anyway. I have no idea why he or Champagnie would pass up 6 figures in the G league.
