Darn, Steelers could have used last year’s 1st round pick on other needs, could have just waited til the very last pick of the draft to get their future QB. Watching this Brock Purdy 2 weeks in a row now, looking pretty good.

Yes he seems to have that “it” factor that hopefully KP shows eventually. Granted it’s much easier to succeed with his weapons and coaching.

Yeah definitely a big difference in the weapons not to mention the offensive system. But still can’t discount how decent he’s looked for the 1st go around from a QB who was the last pick in the draft.

Maybe they could've used that first-round pick to trade for Kyle Shanahan. One of the best head coaches in the NFL and a guy who would have Kenny Pickett looking much better than he is in Pittsburgh.

Now that would’ve been a good trade

San Fransisco is better than the Stillers at literally every skill position on the field, from running back to wide receiver to tight end. And they have a better offensive line as well. It's no wonder their quarterback has an easier time of things.

They have had Trey Lance, Jimmy G, and now Purdy all play very well. Perhaps the system and quality of players within it, could be the reason all 3 have excelled??? It is not a stretch to suggest that SF has the best run game in the league, along with its line and George Kittle is the best two way tight end in the league. Anointing Brock Purdy as the answer to the Steelers issues is way off the mark.

NC and Captain should stick to their activist posts because their sports posts are hilarious. Comparing the Steelers roster to the 49ers roster (and coaching staff) is absolutely skull splitting.

Activist posts? What are you talking about?

I said it was much easier for Purdy to succeed given the coaching and offense he is working with. What’s so crazy about that?

Wow, guess some just can’t tell the difference between a serious and light-hearted post.

But thanks for enlightening me, I never would have guessed there was this big difference in player skills and systems between the Steelers n niners.

That's literally how every single QB plays in the SF system. They have 4 guys in the all time top 25 in expected completion percentage and they're all Jobbers: Jimmy G, Brock, Nick Mullens, and CJ Beathard.

Purdy would have sucked here just like Kenny would have played far above his natural ability in the SF system.

The problem with evaluating KP is that he has little talent and piss poor coaching, play calling and schemes to work with. This fantasy that the Steelers have offensive "talent" is laughable.

The 49ers guys are as wide open as you'll ever see NFL players
And 99% of the Steelers plays the receiver has to battle for contested catches because they are never open, there's always guys right on top of them.

I agree. That’s the point I was trying to make. Purdy was making all of the throws and plays but we haven’t been able to accurately evaluate KP yet, or at least on the same level.

Will be interesting to see what the niners do if Purdy finishes strong. They obviously won’t keep Jimmy G but do they trade Lance as well? QB market could be even crazier than it was last offseason with all of the FA, trade possibilities, and more high end QBs in the draft.

Steelers are too dumb to do it, but they need a different offensive mind at OC, someone maybe an assistant from SF or KC, to change EVERYTHING, especially the pass routes.
