Hopefully the new coach won't implement a system that requires thoroughbreds to be plow horses.
Hopefully the new coach will have a puck movement philosophy that doesn't require fifteen short passes to move the puck up the ice.
Hopefully the new coach will realize that Scuderi doesn't have to play every game.
Hopefully the new coach will give Sprong and Clendening an opportunity once in awhile.
Hopefully 87 will like playing for this one. If not then maybe it's time for HIM to be moved on to new scenery.

I never thought I would say this but maybe it is time to at least take a look at moving Sid. He has been no where near the same player he was since his long term concussion issues.
This team has much potential. I hope this new guy gets them going but unless Sid starts to produce at the rate that an all world player should produce this team can't reach it's potential.
I wouldn't blame #71 so much. That being said, I WOULD blame #87 and the owner who used to wear #66 because the two of them do not feel that they need a coach.
Maybe they should try a guy named Therrien???????????

It seemed pretty obvious pretty quickly that the style of hockey he wanted to play didn't match up well at all with the talent the Penguins have.
I've been waiting for Rutherford to destroy the franchise with big and costly salaries like he did at Raleigh ...

Sat there Friday night and was stunned at just how poor the team is playing. Scuderi is a liability unless he's standing behind the net to start the rush. He got beat down the boards a half dozen times. Went right past him. Malkin was playing with a chip on his shoulder which was nice to see. I didn't even notice Crosby on the ice a few times. He looks disinterested. There are some young guys playing hard but they lack the skill to make good crisp passes and be much help to 87.
Honestly, this team is a train wreck. Johnston was the scapegoat but there are bigger organizational issues.
